Everybody in the neighborhood knows that the kids hangout spot was at the community pool. It had a bar session, a jacuzzi, showers, and an inside lounge. It was the place the be. Crazy thing was, nobody really knew cared for each other until high school, and that's when thing started to change. Whether it was for the good or bad, everybody was on the edge of their beach seats waiting for something interesting to happen. And who doesn't like drama? So let the games begin and the drama be heard cause it is not just a place to hang anymore.

Then Carl walks in, “YO YO!”
Chris sees him, “Sup bro.”
“Nothing much man.” He nods at the girls in the pool and winks at Kiani, “Hey sweetheart.”
Kiani pouts, “You ain’t call me last night! What’s up!?”
“Aw my bad,” He walked to the egde of the pool, “I was busy um…talkin with somebody.”
“Who’s more important than talking to your best friend, hm?”
Carl looks away, “I’ll tell you later.” He walks over to the bar, “YO DEJA, lemme get a shot!“
Deja sighs, “TTYL.” She swims towards the stairs and gets out.
Chris looks back at the shower exit where people enter the pool area and saw some more girls. “I thought I banned y’all?” He smiled.
Nicole his next door neighbor and her best friend, Natasha stop and look up at him. They roll their eyes and sit their things down at the table. “He is so annoying,” Natasha whispers.
Nicole sighs, “Just ignore him.”
“How can we do that when he steady eyeing us down and calling us out!?”
Nicole shakes her head. “Look it’ll be okay. Just mind our business and we’ll be good, Tashi.”
Natasha looks down, “Alright Nic. Whatever you say girl. But you know they talk about us and in our face. They‘re never gonna leave us alone. I don't know why you drag me here.”
"Cause it's better than sitting in the house."
"Well can we go in the lounge. I hate him. He constantly stares us down like a hawk. I'm getting ready to say timber to the tall seat keeping me from whooping his ass."
Nicole smiles, "Girl you wish. You know these girls will jump before he says leap if they see us going near him. let's just go in the lounge."
They pack up their things and go to the lounge.
Chris sighs, "They never learn do they?"
Kiani says, "Don't be so mean."
Heart says, "What did they do you Chris? Hm?"
"Like you care about them?" Chris raises his eyebrow. "Fxck them nerds yo. THey ain't gonna do shxt and if they do y'all got my back."
Kiani and Heart shake their heads and go underwater.

“SHUT UP BOY!” Kiani says and giggles. “You know I like you right?” She goes to the edge of the pool and sits down. She looks up at him waiting for an answer.
“Plenty of girls seem to.”
“NOT ME! ” Iesha stepped out to say. “ I HATE YOUR F’N GUTS!” She laughs.
Chris laughs, “I’m a let yo ass drown today.” He looks at Kiani’s friend, Heart and looked went back to staring at Kiani, “Hey Heart.”
“Sup Jerk,” Heart smirks.
“Don’t hate me cause you know you wanna fxck!”
“Such a manwhore. CANNONBALL!” She jumps into the pool and then pops back up, “You know I luh you boy!” She smiles up at Chris, “MWUAH!”
Kiani splashes water at Heart giving her a look.
Heart stops smiling, “You know I’m just playing.”
Chris smiled staring at Kiani, “You like what you see, baby girl?”
Kiani rolls her eyes and swims away.
Deja pops back from under water and waves at Kiani who swam towards her, “Hey girl. You did your homework?”
“Not yet. I was gonna do it in the lounge. I need some help.”
It had just turned 4 p.m. and the community pool had been open since 12, but only few kids were there. Just old people and some life guards who were in college.
Soon, the twin bartenders, Deja and Iesha arrive at the community pool, go to the showers, change into their bikini tops with short shorts and sandals. Then make their way out to the pool.
Deja says, “I’m getting in the pool.”
Iesha shrugs, “K. I’m a go in the lounge.”
“K.” Deja gets on the diving board and jumps in.
Chris sat up high in the lifeguard chair, “Nice cuzzo.”
Deja then floated on her back smiling, “Thanks G.” She goes down under in the deep end of the pool.
Chris sighs and then sees a couple of girls walking in. He smiles, “Get y’all nerdy asses outta here.”
