Inside My Love.

I pulled up in front of the large building, adorned with dark LED lights. The parking lot was being swept by a young boy in Jordan's. He couldn't have been much older than me. I tightened the strap on my purse and walked towards the door apprehensively. It had come down to this. I didn't have another option. I knocked softly on the door at first... only for it not to be answered. The boy that was sweeping approached and hit the door loudly with his hand flat. I jumped, startled and looked at him. He tossed me a smirk and went back to sweeping. The door opened and he stood there, looking me up and down.

"...Who referred you?" He asked.

I put my hair behind my ear and parted my lips to say something but nothing came out. I shrugged. He studied me once more and looked me dead in the eye.

"Name?" He asked.

"Veronica... I go by Ronnie." I said softly.

He opened the door wider for me to come in, so I did. I hadn't ever been to one of these places, I'd only heard about them... saw them in movies. I looked around wondrously, and heard the giggles of females arriving and leaving, all of them carrying gym bags. I studied their curves and looked down at myself.

"What you here for..." He asked, dismissively. His eyes didn't dance in my direction, as he strolled casually beside me, checking out everything on the floor - making sure nothing was out of place.

He stopped suddenly and I did too.

"...I need a job," I said, searching his face.

He snickered. "So go to the mall and fill out applications, sweetheart. This isn't something for your resume,"

"I understand that," I said, shaking my head. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't need to be. I need a job," I said, pleading with my eyes.

He scratched his face, as he ruminated. He pointed to the bar. "You start there," He said, before he began to walk.

"I was hoping to dance!" I called after him.

He shook his head, "We'll see,"

I exhaled, and dropped my bag on the floor before the DJ put on some music. I looked around and sat down on one of the bar stools. Well... at least I had a job.

they're getting pretty deep . hoping for the best with their relationship and with whatever is up with her

i knew there was no way Carter was going to win that custody battle.. he knew better lol him and his mama made a fool outta themselves

I really hope Ronnie isnt sick..i know thats probably her worse get glad aubrey is there for them especially while shes having these pains.

Ronnie finally said I LOVE YOU! they were made for each otha..she even got her own set of keys..and aubrey taking a break from his music too?? thats love right there lol RUUUN IT

Run It!!!

Screw you and your mammy Carter. I'm so glad the judge seen through his bullcrap and didnt give him custody of Cayden. And maybe when Carter gets his shyt right Ronnie will let him see Cayden again. Now that lil episode Ronnie had scared me to death, fo'real. I just knew they were gonna say she had lupus. My bestfriend has it and is always in pain even with meds, but she's a fighter and doesnt let it keep her down. I hope Ronnies the same. Im glad they said she doesnt have it, but she has to come back in two months for more test, what's wrong with her?
Im glad she told Aubrey and Im glad he was by her side through it. She told him she loves him finally yay. And he gave her the keys to BOTH his places, and wants to take some time off from his career to spend more time with Ronnie and Cayden awww. I love him. RUN IT!!!

I hope Ronnie doesn't have lupus. Run it

enjoy that (:

I sat in front of the rheumatologist as he looked over something in my file. I pulled his face apart - wondering what he was thinking. He looked up at me.

"Well, your blood work came back okay says here that your mother currently has lupus." He said, his face somber.

I nodded, afraid of what comes next.

"The symptoms that you described mimic those of lupus. It could've just been a tough day. You said that you ran around the park with your daughter the day before. Perhaps you hadn't eaten properly. I'm not really sure right now. All we can do is track your health for the next few months. If these days happen more than once, then I'll run a few more tests. How are you today? Do you feel any pain?" He asked.

I shook my head, "No...none." I said.

He shut the file, "Come back in 2 months and we'll do some more tests." He said.

I nodded and shook his hand, "Thank you, doctor." I said, before I left the office and met Aubrey in the waiting room. He looked up at me and smiled a little.

"How was it?" He asked, sitting down the magazine he was reading and following me out of the office.

"It was okay," I said. "I'm still not satisfied though. He just wants to wait and see," I said, looking at Aubrey.

"Well do just that...wait and see," He said, grabbing my hand as we left the doctor's office.

We went out to his car and I looked over at him and smiled, "We have some time until Cayden gets out of school," I said, running my hand across his leg.

He smirked at me and started the car. "I have an appointment."

I scrunched up my face, "Where?"

"Your bedroom." He responded, smiling over at me.

I kissed his cheek and rested my hand on his leg. When we got to my place, I took off my shoes and turned on some music, before I let my hair down. Aubrey came up behind me and pulled my hips into him. He hovered over my neck, before he placed soft kisses there. He pulled my shirt off and ran his hands up my stomach, before he grabbed my breasts forcefully. I moaned softly and began to grind up against him slowly. He unbuckled my pants and I turned around and unbuckled his. His pants fell to his ankles and I hopped on him, wrapping my legs around him.

We kissed passionately as he carried me to my room. I sucked on his bottom lip. He tossed me on the bed and pulled off his shirt, before he lied down. I attacked his neck and ran my hands up and down his shaft. He pulled my hair and led me down his stomach, as I placed kisses. I pulled off his boxers and kissed the head of his d***. I began to give him head, with no hands. He smirked and rested his arms behind his head. I came up and grabbed a condom, before I handed it to him. He put it on, as I removed my bra and underwear. He leaned forward, kissing my chest, before I climbed onto his lap and slid him into me. I moved my hips back and forth, tossing my head back. He grabbed my ass and smiled at me.

"You should put my name on it," He said, before he flipped us over and began to go deep in me.

"Ooh," I exclaimed, I bit my lip and looked up at him.

I held onto his shoulders and wrapped my legs around him, before he put my legs over his shoulders and went faster, his hips still moving rhythmically. When we finished, I looked over at him, as I lied on my stomach. He moved the hair out of my face and kissed my forehead.

"Did you mean what you said the other day?" He asked.

"What?" I asked.

"That you love me," He said.

I slid toward him and pecked his lips softly, "Yes," I said softly.

"So then you do." He responded.

"I do," I said, looking him in the eye.

He smiled and pulled me on top of him, "Why the change of heart?" He asked.

"Well let's just say that I was inching my way down that cliff, when I heard you say something that reassured me about I did." I said.

"What did I say?" He asked.

"That you love me...through sickness and in health." I said, looking him in the eye. I smiled. "Those are marriage vows." I whispered.

He kissed me deeply and pulled me close to him, "I meant it,"

I nodded, "I know." I said, smiling.

I lied my head against his chest and he wrapped his arms around me, "I'm taking a break from music. I had my manager clear my schedule for a while. I just wanna be home...with you and Cay." He said.

I looked at him, my eyes wet wit tears. "You mean it?" I asked.

He nodded and ran his hands through my hair, "I got you something too," He said.

I slid to the other side of him and he leaned down and grabbed something from his jeans. He pulled out a box and I smiled. He handed it to me and I pulled the top off to see keys there.

"This key is for my apartment here and...this one is for my house in Toronto." He said, smiling at me. "Guess I'm kind of a dreamer."

I held the keys close to my heart and looked him in the eye, "Toronto, huh?"

"Someday," He said, smiling.

"Someday." I responded, nodding.

I pecked his lips and fell back into his arms, clutching the keys.

I looked at Aubrey through teary eyes, holding a glass of wine. He was laughing at the TV, when he looked over at me and saw my face. I felt like my world was crumbling, and I hadn't even been to the doctor. The pain had subsided, by I still didn't feel 100%. He paused the TV and rubbed my leg.

"What's wrong?" He asked, searching my face.

"I woke up Saturday...with the worst pain I've ever had." I said, my tears falling now.

He struggled to catch them all with his thumbs and kissed my lips, "Where was the pain?"

"Everywhere," I said, shaking my head. "I got dizzy and I had a headache all day. I had to go to sleep early, and make D come over and watch Cayden."

"You sure you didn't just come down with something?" He asked.

"It felt really bad, Aubrey. I'm scared," I said.

"Don't ruminate on it, alright? We'll go see a doctor while I'm here and figure it out. Whatever it is, we'll get you help, okay?" He said, reassuring me.

I nodded. "...but Cayden,"

"You're fine, Ronnie. Don't worry." He said, kissing my forehead. "Please don't worry," He whispered.

I snuggled up against him and he wrapped his arms around me, rubbing my arm.

"What if I was sick..." I blurted, looking up at him. "Would you still be here? If it got really bad."

He looked back at me, as if he was hurt by the question. "Of course, Veronica. I love you - in sickness and in health. I'm not going anywhere."

I looked him in the eye and pecked his lips with my eyes open, "I love you, Aubrey." I whispered.

He smiled and grabbed my face, pecking my lips repeatedly. "I love you too." He said.

I lied my head on his lap and stared out in front of me. He did everything he could to take my mind off of what was going on with me and it worked, until it was time to go to bed.

I knew it!! Whoo whoo! Carter control your dog. She's FAKE!!!!! Somebody needs to get Carter's dignity and pride for him, because he's not capable of doing that himself.
Run it

I rolled over Saturday morning, with pain shooting through every inch of my body. Cayden ran into the room, in her pajamas.

"Momma can you make me some chocolate chip waffles?" She asked.

"Give me a sec," I said softly.

She left the room and I sat up, and felt the room spin. I sat there for a moment, wondering what was wrong. I stood up and felt like my legs were going to give out. I grabbed the nightstand to steady myself, and blinked twice, trying to see through my tears. I shut the door before Cayden saw me and held onto the nightstand, breathing heavily. I stood there for a long time, before I let go of it slowly and found my balance. I opened the door and walked slowly to the bathroom. I took some pain killers and washed my face before I went into the kitchen and began to make the waffles. Cayden came into the room and stood and watched me, marveling at each waffle I pulled off of the waffle maker.

"When is Aubrey coming home?" She asked.

"Soon, babe." I said, licking my finger.

"Why are you holding your leg like that?" She asked, curiously.

"It hurts today," I said, looking down at her. "But I'm okay."

"Are you gonna go to the doctor?" She asked.

I nodded, "Yeah I think I have to," I said, as my deepest fear came to the surface. I couldn't be sick. I couldn't have lupus. I needed to be well for Cayden.

She grabbed a waffle and placed it on her favorite plate. It was pink with Rapunzel swinging on her hair. She went out into the living room and sat down on the floor, before she began to eat her waffle without a fork. I limped into the living room and sat down easily on the couch before I began to eat as well. I grabbed my phone to see a text from Aubrey.

Miss you. I'll be home Tuesday.

Can't wait to see you.

CARTER GO AWAY!!! You always bring bulls*** with you! You're going to lose anyways. I won't lie at first when you can't to see your daughter it melted my heart. But now, all your going to do is take care of her, and then leave AGAIN! As for Ronnie, Aubrey did seem sincere with what he said. I'm not just saying that. I hope you really see things his way, instead of just saying that you understand.
Run it

I swallowed hard, my palms sweating against the table that I sat behind in the courtroom. Carter stood up, to plead his case. I noticed his mother sitting directly behind him. She shot me a look and my eyes teared up. How could one woman hate me so much? I looked back at the judge.

"Your honor, if it weren't for me, Veronica wouldn't have Cayden. Therefore, I should be able to see her. I have provided for her-" Carter stated.

The judge stopped him, "Have you? Records show that you've never paid any child support. Veronica states that you've never offered, either."

"Well, when I was able to see my daughter, I did provide for her. Veronica even let her spend a few nights with me." He said.

"So let me get this straight, when you came back into your daughter's life, after 5 years, Veronica allowed you to see your daughter." She said.

He nodded, "That's correct, your honor. But when I had to depart for a while and came back, she changed and wouldn't let me see her."

"What was the reason for your departure?" She asked, looking over her glasses.

"I was..having family issues." He stammered.

She shook her head, smiling. "I see through this. You've brought your child's mother to court to demand joint custody when you simply haven't proven that you deserve it. Sole custody, granted to Veronica Moore." She said, hitting her gavel.

I smiled and clapped out of instinct. My face swelled with tears and I stood up, shaking my lawyer's hand. She grabbed her briefcase and turned to leave. I stood frozen when I saw Carter's face. He stood staring at me, and in his eyes I could see that his world had fallen apart. I felt bad...but he'd brought this upon himself. His mother rubbed his shoulders and looked at me. Somewhere inside, I felt like I needed to apologize. I walked toward him, my hands at my side.

"I'm sorry...Carter." I said softly. "I just can't do this to Cayden anymore. You're all in or all out."

"I belie-" His mother started.

I put my hand in her face and glared at her, "According to you, Cayden isn't his child so don't you say a damn thing to me."

Carter looked at his mother and then at me, "Can we talk, soon?" He asked, searching my face.

"I'll think about it." I said, before I turned and walked away.

I left the courtroom feeling a little more secure. I went to Cayden's school and picked her up early, just to be with her.

Thanks for the love!

Loved it Run it

Aubrey should have told Ronnie about Christina from the very beginning because know she is going to be insecure about the situation. How can Aubrey have Christina still working for him, that's crazy to me. And Carter just needs to go somewhere and stay there. I really don't think a judge in their right mind would give Carter any sort of custody because he has not been in Cayden's life consistently enough. He just needs to stop while he is ahead. I hope Ronnie can still trust Aubrey I love them together. RUN IT!!!!

i feel like drake should've told her before who christina was . it'd be nice for him to consider her feelings . i understand from her point of view . it's called respect . who knows what will happen with christina ? carter really served her ? how can he even get any custody ? he was there for some months and dipped out again . he shouldn't get anything . mr. holt definitely wants veronica . that could be dangerous . but i'm glad he suggested a lawyer .

That damn Carter gets on my nerve, like he's really actually suing Ronnie for joint custody of Cayden the nerve of him. Aint been or did nothing for her damn near her whole life but now he wants to play like he super dad, the nerve.
Damn Mr. Holt sure is taking quite an interest in Ronnie hmm. Even recommended her to a lawyer friend of his hmmm. Stacy says to watch him, hmm. What's his intentions with Ronnie?
Aww Ronnie's bday dinner was nice Deann and Stacy are some good friends fo'real.
I'd have been pissed about that video Aubrey did with Christina too, and now we know she's his ex too, I want Ronnie to trust Aubrey but I damn sure don't trust Christina, hmph. Man im glad she's gonna try for there sake but man... at some extra ish right there. Is Ronnit gonna tell Aubrey about Carter suing for joint custody???? Loved the add, cant wait to read more. RUN IT!!!

Wow, RUN IT!

I want somebody to kick Carter's ass I can't stand him.
Run it!!!

Im still skeptical over this Christina chick soooo...
RUN IT:)))

What I love about Aubrey.....he keeps it real all the time...even if it does hurt her's truthful....I'd rather have the painful truth over sugar coated bulls*** lie that ends up being even more painful.

Thank you :)

how in the world is Carter gon ask for custody..he seriously cant believe he will win..even tho aubrey cleared up the whole christina situation..but i still dont approve of them working so close togetha..i dnt like that being besties with ya ex type ish lol..jus dnt sit right with me

I'm not upset with Aubrey anymore, but that damn Carter don't need NO type of custody of Cay because he's a freaking deadbeat Aubrey is more of a father to her than Carter's behind

I hadn't made any plans for my birthday, but D decided to throw me a dinner party anyway, at her house. I invited Stacy, who came over and brought food even though she didn't have to. D received her well. It made me happy. Cayden sat on my lap and ate off of my plate with me. The table was full of people we'd known in college, and a few girls that went to high school with us. Of course Jordan was there, sitting next to his wife. He kissed her cheek and whispered something to her before he stood up and left. D smiled over at me and looked at her watch.

"Was the food good?" She asked.

I nodded and smiled, "Yes! I'm so full. Thank you for this. You got me out of my funk." I said.

"Of course. Happy Birthday, darling." She said, smiling.

Cayden climbed out of my lap and stood next to Stacy. She smiled up at her and Stacy dabbed the corners of her mouth and smiled down at Cayden.

"Your hair is so pretty!" Cayden said, running her hands on it.

"Wanna braid it?" Stacy asked.

Cayden's eyes lit up and she nodded. Stacy put her on her lap and Cayden proceeded to separate the hair and "braid", which was really a big twist that unraveled whenever she let it go. I smiled to myself. After dinner, I carried a sleepy Cayden to the car and put her in the backseat. I hugged Stacy goodbye and blew a kiss to D who was at the door watching me get in.

I drove to our apartment, and parked the car, before I grabbed the cards that I'd been given and the gift from D. I woke Cayden up and she got out of the car, sleepily. I shut the door and Cayden smiled and started running to the door. I smacked my lips and turned to yell at her when I saw Aubrey standing there. She hugged him and he picked her up and pecked her cheek. I walked slowly towards him.

"What are you doing here?" I asked.

"It's your birthday." He said, pecking my lips.

I hadn't gotten a text from him all day so I thought that he'd forgotten. We went inside and Cayden was wide awake now. Aubrey took off his shoes and sat down on the couch, only to be attacked by Cayden. I took off my jacket and put down the cards, before I went to the couch and joined them. I kissed Cayden's forehead.

"Go put on your jammies." I said.

She ran to her room and I glanced at Aubrey. He put his arm around me and kissed my temple. He studied me, made note of the fact that I didn't lean into him like I usually do.

"You're upset about the video." He said.

"I'm not upset," I said, looking over at him. "I'm just confused."

"About?" He asked, searching my face.

I looked at him and could see sincerity in his eyes but I know that he saw nothing but insecurity in mine.

"...who is she to you? She's with you all of the time, and while I know that you're an actor, Aubrey, that video looked pretty damn real to me." I said, looking at him.

He exhaled and looked me in the eye. "Christina's my ex." He responded.

My mouth dropped a little and I shook my head, "Then WHY is she with you all of the time, Aubrey? This isn't one of those relationships where you guys are together even when you aren't, right? Cause you told me that there would be marshmallows and inflatables and I'm not gonna fall to my death! I have a daughter to think about and I'd rather be alone than a rebound girl who you found in a strip club, running away from your feelings for Christina. I c-" I rambled.

He put his finger to my lips, "Shhh." He said, shaking his head.

I hadn't even noticed...but I was crying.

"We dated in high school. She's my ex, but she's also one of my best friends. When we broke up, we decided that we weren't gonna end our friendship too. She's on the road with me because she works with my manager. She wants to be in the business...what better way to strengthen your resume than to be the assistant manager for Drake. We don't...f***. We don't sleep in the same bed. She knows about you, only because of how much I talk about you. It's not what you think it is." He said.

"...then why that video with HER?" I asked.

"The video worked. It was raunchy, at best, but for the song it worked. As for Christina, there was another model lined up. Some s*** happened with her agency, I don't f***ing know. All I know is that Christina stepped up and it came out beautiful. Not because she's beautiful or we're beautiful was just a well crafted video. And I'm not gonna apologize for what you're gonna see, Veronica!" He said, his face red. "Because we've talked about this and I've warned you...that things are gonna get uncomfortable sometimes but you said that you could distinguish between Drake and Aubrey."

"I can!" I shrieked.

"Then do it!" He shot back. "This is Aubrey. Right here." He said, putting my hand over his chest. "Think about it this way, okay? You. When you were stripping...Would you want someone to look up at you and be like, that's Cayden's mom, as you dance for niggas? No. You'd want them to separate the two. The SAME way I'm asking you to." He said, looking me dead in the eye.

Another tear fell from my eye and he wiped it away, pecking my lips. "I love you. If I hurt your feelings, it's never intentional." He said softly. "But I can't...tiptoe around you and stop doing my job. I'm a rapper and this is what you're gonna see. I promise not to f*** around you, or treat you wrong. But I can't promise that my music won't hurt you." He said.

I shrugged and exhaled, "I understand." I whispered.

He kissed me softly and stroked my cheek with his thumb. "These marshmallows ain't goin nowhere," He said.

I really cant stand that b**** christina. ans drake ur ass better get it together and tell her the f***in truth about whatever thats going on. add again! i have to know what happened! runittttttt

Calvin and I didn't talk much at first. I ate my salad quietly and glanced at him every now and then.

"How old's your kid?" He asked, looking over at me.

"She's 6." I responded.

He smiled, "What's her name?" He asked.

"Cayden." I responded.

He nodded, "Tell me about you." He said.

"I just graduated in December, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. I'm a single mother, from Los Angeles. My favorite color is mustard yellow, today." I said, smiling.

He laughed a little, "Today? So then your favorite color changes often?"

"I can never choose a definitive favorite. That's really hard for me." I said.

"So no favorite movie?" He asked.

"Nope. I love so many, it's hard to pick one that's better than all of the others." I said.

"I'm the same way." He responded. "But I do have a favorite restaurant."

"What's that?" I asked.

"This little Chinese spot about 4 blocks from here." He said, smiling.

"What's the name?" I asked.

"Golden Dragon, it's really small." He responded.

I smirked, "That's one of my favorites too. What do you know about that area?" I asked.

"I lived over there for a few years, while I was in graduate school." He said.

I nodded, "That's where I live now. In the Garden Place apartments." I said.

"Oh! Nice. I looked at living there, but I was in the complex across the street." He said.

"Small world." I responded. "Never would've guessed."

"Why's that?" He asked, studying my face.

"You're the CEO of Holt &'s just, humbling, I guess to know that someone like yourself came from where I'm from." I said.

"You have the ability to go much farther than Garden Palace. Farther than Holt & Company if you really follow your heart and put the work in. What do you plan to do with your Psych degree?" He asked.

"Counseling..." I said. "I'm not sure with who just yet."

"Going back to school?" He asked.

I nodded, "Fall, I hope to start my master's program. That's if there's money." I said.

"There will be." He responded, sipping his coffee. "For education, there's money."

When we got back, we went in opposite directions and Stacy popped her head out of her cubicle. She came around and smiled.

"Lunch with Mr. Holt?" She whispered.

"Yeah he invited me. I don't know why." I responded, whispering.

"Is everything okay? You looked upset when you got in earlier." She said.

I nodded and looked up at her, "Carter's suing me for joint custody." I said.

Stacy's mouth dropped, "Oh that bastard!" She said. "When's the court date?"

"Next month. Mr. Holt recommended a lawyer so I'm going to call her later to see if we can meet up and talk." I said.

"Wait...Mr. Holt knows?" Stacy asked.

"Unfortunately. It just kind of spilled out of me." I said.

Stacy looked over her shoulder and then at me, "Be careful with him. He seems to have taken an interest in you."

"I know...and I will be. I'm not very trusting of anyone lately." I said. "Well...other than you who practically knows my entire life."

She smiled and put her hand on my shoulder. "Everything's gonna be fine. You're down now, but you won't stay there for long."

I'm so disappointed in Aubrey like why would have Christina in a video like that?!? If anyone he should have asked Ronnie to be in it!! And Aubrey needs to tell Ronnie about his history with Christina anyway. And Carter....I have no words for that son of a b***h. He is just sorry. RUN IT!
