Within an hour the service was over, Harlem was moving around in her home cleaning up. She felt better that way because she wouldn’t think about him.
Dookie, let go, let go I got it, says Chris trying to stop Harlem from busying herself with putting dishes away.
No, I can handle it; she tells him her eyes red from crying. Her head was pounding and she was getting irritable with all the people that were there and just wouldn’t leave.
Baby, let Chris help you, says Angie.
I’m fine! She yells throwing the plate she had in her hand on the ground.
Silence filled the house and things stopped for a second.
She’s very distraught, says Illiana to the guests in the house as she walked into the kitchen, and then everyone went about their business again.
Angie left the kitchen; Chris and Illiana were left with Harlem.
Come on I’ll run you a bath and then get you something to eat, Illi offers taking hold of Harlem’s hand.
I’m not hungry, I don’t wanna take a bath I just want all of you out of my house right now, Harlem yells yanking her arm away from Illiana.
Well that’s not gon’ happen I’m not leaving, you Illi, Chris says questioning Illiana.
Nope I’m not going, Illiana said as she stood firm.
It’s settled, go run the bath for her I’ll fix her something to eat, says Chris. He tried to remain strong for his friend. He himself hadn’t grieved for his friend.
They are so annoying but they mean well. What would I do without them? Yeah of course I was mad that they didn’t call me but who can blame them it was hectic that day. Okay so maybe a bath and some sleep wouldn’t hurt right? My head’s pounding!
Harlem was asleep; everyone around her house had left accept for Chris and Jaden.
She’s asleep finally, Chris says coming down the stairs rolling up his shirt.
What’s wrong with you, he says looking at Jaden.
I understand she lost her son and all that but for her to call out my sister about the baby while people were still sending condolences and all that, I swear I wanted to kill her, Harlem don’t need them we’ll help her take care of the baby, says Jaden.
Aye emotions is running high right now so we gotta calm down and focus on helping Harlem through this okay, says Chris. As he said that he thought about what Harlem had told him about the baby being Shad’s and not Trey’s.
I do hope she and the doctor were wrong, he thought to himself.
You look beautiful, he says smiling at her. She smiles and looks down at herself; she was wearing a white summer dress, barefoot on white sand. The sea breeze was soothing. She touched her belly and her eyes grew big.
Trey turned and pointed behind her and she saw a little boy playing with a Labrador, the boy turned and smiled, he looked about two years old.
He came running toward them and Trey bent down to pick him up. Where are we, Harlem asked?
We’re here baby, says Trey. Isn’t it beautiful, he smiles? She looked at the boy in Trey’s arms he looked nothing like Trey; he had eyes just like Shad’s. Tears filled her eyes. Don’t worry about it, he’s our son, says Trey.
You better take care of him, she heard Trey say from a distance.
Where’d you go, she asked looking around as Trey and the little boy had disappeared.
We’re in your heart where we’ll always be, Trey said his voice fading.
Don’t leave me again, she cried out.
I’ll never leave you Harlem, he said and his voice sounded even more distant.

This is Harlem we're talking about, they've known each other for years she knows Harlem's relationship with Chris why's she trippin, Miss Jay asks.

I thought you were cool with her and Trey, Nicole asks, Illiana watched as her friends were going back and forth arguing.
I was, I am, it's just when Glee told me what was going on with Chris and Harlem I thought it's a pattern with her, Taylor starts.
Clearly you don't know Harlem, Illiana said irritated.
I hate when people jump to conclusions, quick to judge when y'all don't even know the deal, she went on.
Harlem is still tryna deal with Trey's death, did you and Glee ever stop to think that Chris needs Harlem, they've been friends for donkey years and maybe just maybe him being around her helped him deal with his loss, did y'all think that, Illiana spoke up, she was heated at how Taylor and Glee attacked Harlem.
I'm not even hungry anymore, Miss Jay thanks for the invite fairy I'll see you okay, Illiana got up and left.
When she got to her house she found her brother and his girlfriend watching DVDs.
I don’t have time to deal with anything at the moment, I just wanna sleep. I would never keep Chris from Glenna, as my friend she should understand that. Chris is like a brother to me.
Hey Harlem, how you doing, Taty greets her.
Hey Tatyana, she smiles dryly. Watchu watching, she asks them.
She’s making me watch these Tyler Perry movies, s***’s got me dozing off, Jaden complains.
Because you love her you’ll watch and not protest, Harlem says roughing up his hair.
How was your lunch date with the girls, he asks enthusiastically.
Harlem rolled her eyes and walked away.
Jaden got up quickly and ran to his sister.
Hey, hey, hey, what’s that about, is this one of your pregnant mood swings, he tries to joke.
No, Glee said some hurtful things today; she starts and conveyed the conversation that took place at the café.
Chris do be staying over here way too much though, Taty let slip.
Harlem looks at Taty in disbelief are you trying to say I made him stay.
No, I’m not saying that, you both lost Trey, yes Chris wanted to comfort you but he also need Glee to comfort him and work at mending what they have or had or whatever, she says.
Baby, get back to watching your movie, Jaden says as he noticed that Harlem was about to pounce on this little white girl.
I’m sorry I didn’t mean to insult you or nothing, Taty starts.
No you’re right, don’t sweat it I’m good, Chris will be spending time with his girlfriend, says Harlem.
Imma get a nap I’m too tired and this heartburn about to turn me into a mean b****, she laughs and walked upstairs.

Man all you bi+ches is looking so glum, gon make it hard for this fairy to keep her food down, says Ms Jay.
Glen you look a hot mess honey, you need coffee, Ms Jay goes on.
The waitress comes to take their orders.
Ooh she’ll have coffee looking like that she needs it, Ms Jay jokes.
You okay Glee, Harlem asks concerned.
She ignores Harlem, and Nicole walks in also looking just as glum.
Oh hell the one time I manage to get us all together you b****es look like you spent the night eating sour grapes and lemons gees, Ms Jay belts out in frustration throwing his hands in the air.
I found Glee at a bar drunk out her mind, Taylor starts and looks in Harlem’s direction.
Where’s Chris Harley, Taylor goes on.
I don’t know Ms Jay just sent me a BBM said I should come have lunch with y’all, plus I’ve missed you guys for real, Harlem answers casually.
I thought he may have been sent the same message, Harlem goes on.
And you Nicole, Illiana asks.
Oh hell if I had to sit in that house one more day with Christian and his nasty funky mood I’d kill him, she says not sounding as the glamorous diva that she regularly is.
Why would Taylor ask me where Chris at? The hell is wrong with Glenna? Maybe that’s why Chris been at my house 24/7. Looking like that I’d also try stay away from her much as I could.
I’m sorry I haven’t come through to see Christian, says Harlem.

Illiana was quiet most the time as they all hung out together, kept commenting here and there during the conversation, Harlem still couldn’t figure why Glee was all offish with her.
I still miss him though you know, Taylor keeps talking.

Oh but when she took him from her it was okay for her to parade Trey around Tay right, Glenna speaks up.

Lemme stop you right there Taylor, it’s obvious you and Glee been discussing me all night or whatever, but I spoke to Chris I done told him to go home to his girl, I aint keeping him at my house he stays of free will, if Glenna wants her man she oughta come get him up out my house, I been saying he need to go anyways, Harlem says.
Now if you’ll excuse me, got me sitting here with this heartburn bout to add indigestion to that as well, have a good day, she tells everyone and she leaves.

She’s not picking up, Chris tells Jaden.
Probably doesn’t wanna be disturbed hanging out with her girls, they aint hung out in a while, says Jaden.
Oh yeah Illi was just saying how long it’s been since they hung out, give them girl time, says Dreux
How’s Glenna, Jaden asks suspiciously.
Oh uhm she’s good I guess, Chris says nonchalantly as he stuffed the last bit of McDonald fries down his throat.
Okay, you guess, man get outta here, Dreux jokes. This coming from the man who was set to marry this woman, set on breathing in the same air as her, now its okay I guess, Dreux goes on.
Yeah, Chris says picking up his McDonald’s trash to go throw it out.
Jaden shook his head thinking about what Taty had told him. Hmmm you should call her man, you aint spent time with her much lately, he suggests lightly.
Yeah imma see her tonight, Chris says coming back to sit down
No call her now, Jaden insists pushing Chris’ phone toward him, I mean you were eager to call dookie you can do the same with Glee, he says.
Yeah I was just tryna find out if dookie’s okay, Chris starts.
Call her, arrange a date do something special for your lady, dang I’m the youngest here but I know how to treat a woman better than you old geysers, Jaden pushes.
Okay damn, Chris picks up his mobile and proceeds to dial Glee.
I never thought we’d be pushing a man to call his own woman, speaking of which I oughta check in on my Illibean, Dreux says dialling Illiana.

She sighs and rolls her eyes, is that why you calling me, why don’t you call her and ask her why she aint taking your calls, she says and prepares to hang up.
I aint got no plans tonight, as my boyfriend you’d know that, she says.
Is that all, she says. I’m going home right now, yeah okay… she says and he tells her I love you.
Wait what? She asks, and he repeats what he said her heart warms up and her face lights up, I love you too, she says and hangs up.
