I quickly closed the book and put all his stuff back into his bag.

I ran dowstairs and called a cab.

Kari: Love Is Wicked…
I said to myself.
Kari: Wait! That’s it!

I grabbed a pad that was on the coffee table and took a pen and wrote the first lines….

While writing, all I could think of was Chris.

The cab was here, I grabbed the rest of my necessities and left. I continued to write all the way to the studio.

When we arrived, I walked up to the front desk, signed in and they showed me my studio room.

While we were walking to the room, I could’ve sworn I heard Chris’ voice. I though I was delirious!
When I got into the studio, my good friends Brick & Lace were there.

Kari: Heeey!
Brick: Whaddup!
Lace: Hiii!
They both talked with a West Indian accent.

Brick: So look, we were messing with a beat maker last week and we came across a fire beat!
Kari: Lemme hear!

They put the beat on and I looked at my lyrics I had written before. It seemed like those words went to the beat exactly.
They must’ve heard me mumbling the words and smiled.

Lace: G’won in there and bust dem vocals!

I raced inside and put on the headphones. They cued the beat…..3.…2.….1.….SING!

It took about 4 tries until we got the song right.

It was the last time to sing the song and they told me to sing with all my might. I sung with with my eyes closed through half of the song. When I opened my eyes,……..Chris was there.

Chris met me inside the car and we drove off to god knows where…

Chris: Where are we going?
Kari: Hmmm………….let’s see…….we need to talk.
Chris: Well hurry, I gotta be somewhere at 1 o’clock.

Chris: Nothin’…….I just gotta handle something
Kari: *rolling eyes* Why can’t we spend some time alone?

I walked all the way home. Chris’ book bag was still there. I was soooo pissed off at him. I really wanna know what he’s up to.

I opened up the bag and looked around. Binder…….textbooks………..basketball shorts………water bottle……..condoms (lol)…….and a notebook…..hmmmm…..notebook.

The next morning…

I woke up next to Chris who was out cold. I flipped off the damp sheets from me and quietly crept to the bathroom door. I creaked the door open and heard Chris wake up. He looked at me.

Chris: Morning bae….
Kari: Morning….
Chris: You look sexy naked….Want another round?
Kari: That’s ok….I’m cool.

And with that I went inside and hit my hygiene routine and changed into a white baby tee and some faded jeans. I put on my Air Force 1’s and pulled my hair into a ponytail and leaving some hair in the front to hang.

I went downstairs and saw Chris pouring a bowl of Apple Jacks in the living room. I walked over to him and sat down. I wrapped my arms around him.

Chris: Last night was great!
Kari: I know….
Chris: I love you….
Kari: I love you too….

I kissed his cheek and saw my mother appear out of nowhere. Where was she?

Kari: Ma, where were you yesterday?

I got up and walked over to her.

Lisa: I met this guy and we went out on a date….

Chapter 051.

I ran upstairs and changed into the little outfit…it fit perfectly! I found another little note on the sink.

“ Hurry up now! I can’t wait!”

I felt myself getting wet. I hurried to my bedroom door. I heard shuffling in the room and I also heard music. It sounded like Chris. And it sounded like those words he sang to me to make me go to sleep.

“Here we are all alone in this room, and girl I know where to start I what were gonna do…..”

I slowly opened the door and saw hundreds of candles aligning the room. I looked at Chris. He was sitting on the edge of the bed in a white beater and his jeans. He never looked any better. When he recognized me, he signaled me over to him. I hesitated.

He got up and opened the door all the way. He saw me in the outfit and looked me up and down.

Chris: You ready?
Kari: More than you know!

I wrapped my arms around his neck and embraced him in a kiss. He licked his lips and picked me up. I wrapped my legs around his waist and he walked me over to the bed. I grabbed his shirt and looked him in the eyes. He layed me down on the bed. Before you knew it, we were both in our birthday suits. We were kissing uncontrollably.

Kari: Do it!
Chris: Ok mama!

I walked all the way home with my hands folded and my head hanging down. I continuously heard guys trying to call me over. Nothing was appealing without Chris. Saying that I loved him was the most greatest experience ever. I meant it with all of my heart.

I went searching for Chris. I thought about where he would be right now…………In the gym……..I ran as fast as I could to the gym. When I arrived, I saw a gang of boys checking me out. I didn’t have time for that. I just went along. I saw Chris with his back faced towards me shooting some hoops. I walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder………….He didn’t even budge. I tried again…………and he just took a step forward.

Kari: Chris!

He turned around and dropped his basketball. I looked at his face. He was turning pale. To conclude that, he looked as if he was about to cry. I was already tearing up but this made it even worse.

Chris: What……….
Kari: Look, I never meant to say what I said the way I said it earlier.
Chris: It doesn’t even matter.
He started to walk away.
Kari: Wait! Chris,……………I love you.

Those words made him turn back around. I walked back up to him. I grabbed his shirt gently and gave him a passionate kiss like no other. This kiss expressed all the hurt, sympathy and love I had for him. I softly ended the kiss and looked at him one last time. Then, I walked away.
While I was exiting the gym, those same boy’s were still there tryna holler at me.

Kari: Get a f***in’ life!

Then I left. I took a deep breath and headed for the hall.
