Chapter 1 cont.
I start the ignition and pull of. I'll be there for you... [The FRIEND'S theme song,yeah it was corny but that was the perfect ring for my besties]. "Hello?" I ask.
"Hey girl it's Sami"

"Cool,bye!" and she hangs up.I get back home and I get me a glass of water.I go back upstairs and Jay is still sleep.I go into our walk-in closet and pick out my work clothes...(tight black slacks,and a black top).I work as a hostess at BRAVO!S..a lot of people say we (hostess') don't make a lot..but actually we do and we get tips also.+ we have the most fun.I change in my closet and slip on my black flats.I go into the bathroom to make sure I look alright.I check my watch and it's 1:23.I walk out and J's awake. "You leavin for work?" He says sleepily. "Yeah" I go over to the bed and sit on the edge near my night-stand and put on my silver braclets. "Well what are you doing after?" "Shopping with Samanta." I say. "You need some money?" "Nah, it's cool" I get up and grab my black coach purse."Iight well you got a specific time your gonna be home?" "Uh, 7 or 8 at the latest.Why? You want me to stay?" "Nah" He said a little too quickly.He got up and wrapped his hands around my waist.He kisses my neck. "Well then see ya later." "1" He says. I get into my car and drive to work.When I get in I see my favorite working buddies there already: Ruben[the funniest femme Gay],Kristene[the White Girl trapped in a Black Girl's body],and LoRisha[the cool,calm,and collected college student].I put my purse behind the counter and go clock in.I come back out. "Well we couldn't get a 'HEY!' first?" Kristene said. "Hey you people!" I say. "HEY" they say in unison. "Alright Alright!" Our evil,yet fun to make-fun of boss Ricky says coming out. "We've got a busy evening today!" "Chanel and Ruben take the bar for now,Kristene and LorRisha,stay where you are." I grab a few candy before I leave to go work at the bar near the door.An blonde tan surfer guy, maybe 21 year old came and sat down at the bar. "A sex on the beach" He says looking at me. "Sure thing" I go to the side and start making his drink.I turn and he's flirting with my Ruben! lol.I finish his drink and pour it into a cup. "Here you go" I say handing it to him. "Thanks" he says. I smile and nudge Ruben in the side.He winked and I went to the side to watch the baseball game.Today,should be a funny day!

He nodded his hands with his eyes still glued to the episode of Spongebob and Patrick in the cardboard box.I walk up stairs and see J countin money on our bed.I sit next to him,making sure he doesn't miss a bill.When he finishes I give him a kiss on the lips. "Good afternoon babe" I say. "Hey" He takes of his shirt with his black wife beata under it. "Long day?" I ask. "Yeah,just want to chill." "Well my mom wants King to spend the night until Sunday.Is that cool?" "Yeah,you can do that while I take me a nap." I kiss his cheek and I get ready.When I'm done showering I come out in my Pink Abercrombie tank top with some blue shorts on with pink flip flops.I rub my freshly french tipped finger nails through my medium-brown hair. I wet it and slick it into a high-ponytail.I spray some "Paris Hilton" perfume on and walk out of my bathroom.I look and Jayceon is sleep. I go downstairs with King's bag in my hand. "Baby you ready to go to Grandma V's house?" I ask. "Mowmmy it's almost over!" He excalimed.I walk to the t.v and a commercial's on. "You can watch your dvd's at grandma's" I turn the t.v. off and grab his hand.We go outside to my black Malibu and we drive 20 minutes to my mom's house.When we get there it's a big U-Haul truck parked across the street.I pay it no mind and ring my mom's doorbell.She comes and opens it. "Hey babe" She kisses my cheek and opens the door so we can walk in.I see a tall boy 6'2,maybe two shades lighter than me eating some Spaghetti."Chris this my daughter Chanel, I was telling you about." He put his fork down and stood to shake my hand. "Hey" He said.I smiled and nodded.He looks down to King and smiles. "Hey homie,what's your name?" King holds my leg. "King" he says. "Nice name" He goes back to his spaghetti. "He is moving in across the street with is mother." I put King's bag near the stair-case and I sit on the couch. "That's cool, for like a dude your age and all" I say rubbing my ponytail. "Yeah, it's alright" He says. He gets up and throw his plate away. "Well thanks for the lunch Miss.V" He says making his way to the door. "You're welcome,any time you need something I'm right here." He smiles. "Bye Chanel, Bye King" "BYE" we say.And he walks out. "He's cute" My mom said. "Mhm-hmm" "You should get with him" "Ma! I got a man, and a son, and I also don't know him." She rolls her eyes and sits on the love-seat across from the couch I was on. "Girl, it's time to give Jayceon a break..it's been what? 4 years? WAYYY to long for a girl your age." She picks King up and sits her on her lap. "Have you been a good boy?" "Yweap! I even got a new toy for it!" He cheesed. "That's good" My mom said kissing his forhead. "Well I'ma get going" I say standing up. "Ok" I walk up to King and kiss him. "I'll see you Sunday okay?" He nods and I walk out the house.Before I get to my car door I hear Chris calling my name.I turn around and walk across the street. "Yeah?" "You really don't remember me?" He said kind of out of breath. "...Sorry I don't" I bit my lip trying to remember. "Well,I'm going to let you think on it.I'll be here when you pick him up." He said turning and going back to the U-haul truck. I run back to my car and get in.He DOES look familiar,oh well I'll think later.
