We’ve been standing up at the front for a some time now, listening to a man go on and on how thankful he was, it was nice, but my feet were killing me and my back was starting to ache from standing up for too long. Suddenly I felt and arm wrap around my waist. It was Chris, I looked around for Zay and she was at the back staring at both of us, when she caught me looking she smiled and waved.. b:tch.

Chris: ‘Sorry I took so long’ I didn’t say anything, I didn’t want to respond just incase I lost control and started yelling; it’s not like I can blame him for moving on, but why is it with Zay? I mean Sean’s ex wife? Was he trying to get back at Sean or something?

Announcer: ‘Anyway, I should really stop rambling on and thank our major donators and their kind hearts; first we have to thank Mr. and Mrs. Lee-yon, Mr. Jennings and Ms. Harrison, and of coarse a special thank you to this couple who have been coming to this event for the past four years, Mr. and Mrs. Brown’ Everyone applauded. I totally forgot about the donations, Chris usually talked about how much we were donating before we came to every event, but this time he hadn’t mentioned it once to me at all. I suddenly felt a warm, soft kiss on my cheek, then Chris wrapped both arms around me in a slow hug, I didn’t want him to let go, but he did, everyone was smiling and looking at us, I swear I saw envy in a few women’s eyes, but little do they know.

(LATER THAT NIGHT)

I was now on my way home without Chris; I was just sitting in the car with tears pouring down my face, he told me to go home because he had some business to do. He probably meant he had to do Zay. I finally got home and headed straight to our room, I went and took a shower and got changed into my black singlet top and short shorts. I chose black, just in any case I was looking a little bigger than usual. I hopped into bed, I was exhausted, I wasn’t going to care what Chris was getting up to. It had been three whole hours and I couldn’t get to sleep, where was he? He said it wouldn’t take long. I sat up and walked downstairs to the kitchen, I poured a glass of water for myself, what was wrong with me.

Sya: ‘Just forget it’ I mumbled to myself. As I started rinsing the glass out, I saw headlights pull up in the drive way, I just stood there thinking whether I should run straight to bed or take my time not worrying what Chris would say if I was still up. G-d I felt like a child. I decided to head up to bed, as I made my way to the stairs the front door opened.

Chris: ‘You still up?’ I turned to face him.

Sya: ‘No I’m sleep walking’ I said in a sarcastic tone.

Chris: ‘Damn, what’s up with you?’

Sya: ‘What? Does something always have to be up?’ Where was my attitude coming from.. first I’m crying over the fact he’s moved on, next I’m snapping at him for it.

Chris: ‘What’s you’re problem?’ He slammed the door behind him.

Sya: ‘YOU’RE MY PROBLEM!’ Whoops.

Chris: ‘WHAT?! WHAT DID I DO?!’

Sya: ‘YOU TREAT ME LIKE CRAP?! YOU MAKE UP THESE DUMB RULES THAT YOU MAKE SURE I FOLLOW BUT YOU DON’T EVEN TAKE THEM SERIOUSLY!’

Chris: ‘Please explain Sya..’ He said calmly, folding his arms.

Chapter: 21

(SYA pov)

Before he left he planted a kiss on my lips. I smiled as he walked away, then realized people were looking, so he probably was just putting on a show. I walked up to the stage that was placed in the front of the room, for everyone to see. A waiter walked by and offered me a glass of Champaign. I picked up a glass, forgetting I was pregnant, but quickly placed it back down on the tray before the waiter walked away.

F/v: ‘There you are!’ I turned to see Mina. I had met her during one of these events a couple of years ago, her husband works with Chris.

Mina: ‘I heard you were here!’

Sya: ‘Hey! Oh my G-d, I’ve missed you’

Mina: ‘Why haven’t you called? When you moved out away from Chris, you didn’t contact me once b:tch’ She smiled ‘But I’m serious.. What happened?’

Sya: ‘I just thought it would be weird and all, you know, chatting with you whilst your husband and Chris see each other everyday’

Mina: ‘Honey, Chris is my man’s boss, they aint friends, it’s not like we’d invite him to dinner or anything. Tay told me he’s been real arrogant at the studio since you left’

Sya: ‘Well he’s been acting that way towards me too’

Mina: ‘But aren’t you guys together?’

Sya: ‘Yeah we are’ This lying thing was kind of getting easier.

Mina: ‘Sweetie are you ok?’ I tried to put on a convincing smile.

Sya: ‘I’m good. How’s baby Jackson?’

Mina: ‘He said his first word since I saw you last’

Sya: ‘Damn I wish I heard about it sooner. He’s precious’

Mina: ‘He is. Are you thinking of having a little one any time soon?’

Sya: ‘I’ve definitely thought about it’

Mina: ‘So seen anyone familiar yet?’

Sya: ‘Yeah one guy, Dre’

Mina: ‘Sleaze ball Dre’ I giggled.

Sya: ‘Yep that’s him’ I felt a tap at my shoulder and I turned around and there was Mia and Tay. Mia was also married to a guy that work in Chris’s studio and Tay actually work at the studio ‘Wow, hey you guys’ Neither of them smiled at me.

Tay: ‘Why haven’t you called?’ She said with attitude.

Mia: ‘Yeah, what’s wrong with you and where have you been? You been back with Chris for what.. two weeks and you still haven’t called us up yet?’

Sya: ‘Look I’m sor-’ They both broke their serious faces with a smile.

Mia: ‘Girl we’re just playing’ She hugged me.

Tay: ‘But seriously all of a sudden Chris is out of your life and so are we?’ She asked seriously again releasing me from our hug.

Sya: ‘Well I didn’t want it to be awkward; I mean Chris has known you guys longer than I have’

Mina: ‘It don’t mean we like him more’ She laughed.

Tay: ‘Anyway, we just wanted to say hi, seeing as you had forgotten about us’

Mia: ‘Anyway ladies, I’ve had too many drinks, I think it’s time for all of us to go freshen up’

Sya: ‘Ok’ I smiled.

Tay: ‘But you look hot by the way. You get a boob job?’ I started laughing hard.

Sya: ‘No way!’ We all started laughing except Tay.

Tay: ‘Hey! there aint nothing wrong with a boob job!’ She said looking down her chest.

Mina: ‘Stop giving the girl ideas’ She pulled my arm along and we followed Mia and Tay that lead the way to the bathrooms. We were getting closer to the bathroom door when I saw Chris walking around the corner away from the party, but that wasn’t what caught my eye, it was the woman who was walking with him, she looked slightly familiar. I know I had no right to feel jealous at that very moment, but I couldn’t help but stare. Just as Mina walked ahead of me through the door, I quickly stopped.

Sya: ‘Hey you guys, I’ll be back soon, I’m just gonna quickly check something out’

Mina: ‘You want company sweetie?’ That’s Mina for you, always wanting to make sure you were happy and comfortable. That’s what I liked about her from day one, I really did miss her company, I was sorry for not getting in contact with the girls while Chris and I were split up, having them around would have really made things easier.

Sya: ‘I’m fine; I’ll be back in a sec’ I was just a little curious.

Chapter: 20

It was the night of the charity and for most of the day I was all over town getting ready for tonight. Chris had given me the money telling me that everyone was going to be there and to dress up nice. This event had all the big names, and I was nervous as hell, I was so thankful that I wasn’t big yet, but my b00bs had definitely put on weight. I took a shower, dried myself off and started drying my hair with the hair dryer, I decided to leave my hair wavy and put it up in a presentable bun. Then I apply very light makeup, liquid liner, mascara, and lip gloss. I then slipped on my red, satin dress that I bought today. The dress went all the way to the floor, it revealed my back only stopping just above my bum, and showing off my dimples on my lower back. I couldn’t wear a bra, because you could see it, but my b00bs were slightly bigger than usual so they filled out the dress quiet nicely. I slipped on my open strapped heels, which were made of the same material as my dress.

I walked down to the lounge and down the hall to Chris’s study and walked in. He was on the phone looking away from the door. He turned around when he heard me enter.

(CHRIS pov)

I heard Sya knock on the door but I was still on the phone, I turned to face her. She looked fine as hell. I could tell she wasn’t wearing a bra, and her breasts looked bigger than usual, she’s probably eating more. I was stunned, I told her to dress up nice, but she was looking more than nice.

Chris: ‘I’ll call you back’ I hung up the phone and placed it on my desk.

Sya: ‘I’m ready. What do you think?’ She looked into my eyes. I tried to hide the lust in my eyes, I wasn’t sure if it was working.

Chris: ‘You look..’ I sighed ‘beautiful’ She looked to the floor.

Sya: ‘Thank you’ She blushed. I smiled, I thought it was funny that she still blushed even though we’ve known each other for a long time.

Chris: ‘Well there’s a car for us waiting outside ‘Will you be cold in that’ I couldn’t help but look at her breast.

Sya: ‘I’ll be fine’ I walked up to her, placed my hands on her hips and turned her around to face the door. I followed her out, locked the door and got into the limo with her.

(CHARITY EVENT)

We were shown the room where the event was taking place, everyone that we passed all seemed to turn and face our direction; I felt their stares, not on me but at Sya. She seemed to draw the attention of everyone in the room. People never knew why we split up, but that’s because it was my personal life and I didn’t want the world to know. The women were whispering to each other, and the men were looking her up and down. It made me wish she had brought a coat or something. I wrapped my arm around her waist, so people got the message. I felt her tense up. I leaned my mouth close to her ears.

Chris: ‘Just relax and act like you’re in love’ I kissed her ear, then her neck, enjoying the embrace we were sharing. Then I heard my name.

M/v: ‘Chris!’ I turned around and it was Dre, I’ve known him for a year, he has a thing for Sya, and because of that we’ve never been that close.

Chris: ‘Hey, What’s good man?’

Dre: ‘Nothing much, nothing much’ He looked at Sya, then smiled ‘Hey Sya’ He smiled. I rolled my eyes.

Sya: ‘Hey Dre’ She gave a faint smile and looked up at me waiting for me to say something. She’s been looking real sad these last couple of weeks and I’ve been wanting to hug and kiss her, so she felt a little better. But I haven’t I don’t want her thinking everything is cool between us, but tonight I can, because we’re putting on a show. Dre started talking, again.

Dre: ‘I can see I don’t need to ask how you are’ He smiled at me, then at Sya, showing us his all his white teeth. I should punch him in the mouth for even looking at her, I knew what he fantasies about at night, and that’s enough for me to break both his legs. I stepped in front of Sya.

Chris: ‘Well I got to introduce Sya to a couple of people’ I grabbed Sya’s hand and we headed to the other side of the large room to get away.

Sya: ‘Who are you introducing me to?’

Chris: ‘No one’ I said looking back to see if we could still see Dre.

Sya: ‘Oh.. You don’t want me to talk to anybody?’ She looked away.

Chris: ‘I just don’t want you to talk to him. Anyway, just do whatever, I’ll be back’
