Mina walked out of Shady Grove hospital, alone. No one was there to help her get home. She sighed and digged in her back pocket and pulled out two dollars and fifty cents, just enough for the Metro to get home. She walked over to the phone booth and put her fifty cents in, she dialed Destiny's home number.
"Hello?"
"H-hey Chris. Dimples there?"
"Hey Mina. Um, no. Not at moment."
She could hear the diappoint in his voice. "What happened?"
"Had an arguement and she left. Hasn't been back for...two days."
"Two days?"
"Yeah. Me and Cynne' been looking for her ever since."
"I know Destiny, Chris. She's left home for a week when we was little. Always came back."
"I guess Mimi. But um, I've got to get Cynne' from school. I'll talk to you later."
"Ok, bye Chris. Hope everything gets better for you."
"Thanks. Bye."
Mina hung up the phone and sighed to herself.
On the bus ride home, she started to think about the past. The first time her sister ran away from home.
"Destiny, where are you going? Why are you packing up our things?" Asked Mina.
"We got to leave Mimi."
"And go where?"
"I don't know. Anyway but here dammit. Now stop with the questions and help me pack." Destiny was taking clothes from the dressers and stuffing them into a duffle bag.
Mina held three year old Michelle in her arms and just watched her. Destiny stopped packing. "What the hell are you doing Mimi?"
"Nothing, I'm--we're not going with you. You're crazy. This is our home Destiny."
"This is not a home Mina. Just a house to sleep and eat at."
"If that's all I have then I'll be greatful for it. What's so much better out in the ghetto? Rats? Niggas? Hoes? NOTHING BUT A BLACK HOLE DESTINY!"

"Let her go if she wants to." The girls turned their heads around and saw their mother standing at the doorway of the room the three girls share together. "If she wants to go let her!"
"Mama, that's crazy!" Mina said.
"She's saying it because she wants me to leave!"
"I would never put a child of mines out on the streets, nor live on the streets. That's why im in this house getting my ass beat every damn day so you can have a home Destiny!! So your lousy ass excuse for a dad won't put all of us out on the streets."
"You're lying! Dad would never put us out!" Destiny screamed with tears drowning her face.
"Believe what you want Destiny. Now if you think you have the worst in this house we call a home, then leave if you can't bear it here."
"And I will."
"Just know...you'll turn into a pussy too."
Destiny packed the rest of her things and put on her shoes. She looked back at her sisters and cried. She went to hug them both and whispered, "I'll come back for you both." She looked at her mother and rolled her eyes. She walked out the door into the cold black night.
That night scared Mina and she couldn't sleep. But the day, Destiny came back home. Her mother hugged her but she didn't hug back. She went into her bedroom and got in the bed with her sisters.
Mina can never forget that night, it was the first time her sister ever left her. And after the first time came a second, third, fourth, and more after that.
By the time Mina came back to the present, she was at home. When she opened the door, the first thing she was greeted to was hit to the face by Justin.
"Who told ya ass to go to the hospital?" Was the first thing he said to her and to make it worse, he didn't even visit her at the hospital when it was his fault she was in there in the first place. But that wasn't her first time, nor her last.

Destiny was the oldest sister of the three. She has a husband and 1 kid. That's her life, that's all she wants, that's she needs, she thinks. Destiny has her own attitude to adjust to, she doesn't have a care in a world for nobody for herself, not even her own daugther. She if doesn't want to hear it, see it, feel it, she bulntly walk away from it and you. She also has a negative attitude towards women because of her mother and what she went through as child.
Every girl on the block saw her as the ugly sister of the three. And that her parents could have just gotten an abortion with her. When Destiny saw her mother and her life style she knew she wasn't going to take none of that she s*** and that was the attitude she carried since she was 10 years old. But that carried to weight when she walked with that attitude against her mother. She doesn't pay her child any attention and doesn't get her husband any affection. It's only her in her world; Destiny.

She sat in the hospital bed crying her slient tears. Mina had fainted from high blood pressure, due to her crazy boyfriend, Justin. Every day they argue, fuss, and fight. But Mina has to keep it to a minium because she knows what can happen if she doesn't and no, it's not her high blood pressure but the painful blows from her boyfriend. He can only Tolarate what she has to say for too long.
Mina saw her mother die this way, her father beat his wife constantly every day until he got tired. Why? Because she didn't cook the way he liked it, she clean up his side of the room, she didn't spit shine his shoes, because he felt like it. Her mother always told her and her sisters that she wasn't doing anything she didn't want to do and to follow in her steps if you don't want to be a pussy in a relationship. Her older sister said, "If she wasn't a pussy, she wouldn't let him beat on her like that." Mina didn't care what she said, that was her mother and she respected her and cared for her. Every time her father would be finished beating the hell out of her mother, she would clean up her wounds while Michelle watched and Destiny walked away without a care in the world.
Mina had to know though. Is she exactly like her mother? A pussy?

Michelle was walking around the park, just doing nothing really. She was really thinking about her life and what to do with it. She's been clean of Meth for 1 year and 6 months but without her using it, her life has no meaning, so she thinks. She grew up with her two sisters and father. Living with a father who does and sell drugs is one of the hardest things to live through. But her sisters tried to keep Michelle away from the ghetto, meth, sex, and even the strip clubs as much as possible but being the baby sister, she thinks she knows what's right for her and knows how to live her life without someone telling her what to do because of what she saw as a young child. What she saw is all she knows no matter how much her sister tried to hide it from her.
During the first two years of her Meth addiction, her sisters tried to help her but after that, one gave up and the other followed. Michelle liked it that way at first but when she soon realized that she was alone, she got scared. She kept doing Meth for 3 more years and then finally went to rehab. Since then shes had nothing. No decent home. decent clothes, nice hair, nor any sisters...
