I quickly grabbed my cell phone and dialed the numbers. She picked up on the third ring:
Lelique (sleepy): “Hello?"
Chris:
“Hey Leli! Whatchu doin’ now?”Lelique:“Trying to sleep! Did you look at the clock? It’s 3:00 in the morning!
Chris:
“Oops! I’m sorry! I mean, I just had to call you!”Lelique: “Awwww how sweet! Now go to sleep!”
Chris:
“Damn! You cranky! Iight! I’ll holler at you later…I’ll call you in the morning. I want us to meet up again…ok?”Lelique: “………….”

Chris: *chuckled*
“ Goodnite!”I hung up the phone. She fell asleep on me………I changed into my boxer shorts and a wife beater and layed on my bed. I closed my eyes. Five minutes later, I was still awake. I couldn’t sleep. Lelique was on my mind. Shortie is fine! She has my sprung alrighty. Tomorrow, I’ll make that move….

We arrived at the Tribeca Grand Hotel. I hopped out the car and security followed me to check-in. After we checked in, I looked at my hand once again. I saw those seven digits. I felt like the luckiest man on earth.
Chris: Damn! I got it! I got them digits! And I’m bout to call em’!
Mijo (creeped out): Are you talking to yourself?
I looked a him in shock. I didn’t realize I was talking out loud.
Chris: Uh…..yea…..I was.
Mijo (suspicious): You not thinking bout calling her! Are you?
Chris: Yes-I-Am!
Mijo: Niggah, you betta hop off my girl!
Chris: Niggah, that’s not ya girl! Wait! You have a son! What about ya baby mama?
Mijo: We broke up like 3 months ago! We share custody…. Besides, Lelique is gonna be mine now!
Chris: In yo dreams!
Mijo: Just watch! Ima get her!
Chris: Alright then! [sounding like Chris Tucker] SHAMOWN!
Mijo just cracked up and they walked to the elevator. As they got on, Chris opened his hand. Mijo jumped to try to peek at the numbers.
Chris: What are you tryna do?
Mijo (nervous): Nothing!
Chris (laughing): You are a trip son!
Mijo: Just shut up and get off the elevator!
They both walked to their hotel room. Mijo pushed the key in and opened the door. They looked around and their eyes opened wide. They were in pure HEAVEN!
Before you knew it, they were both squirming for the rooms. Chris turned right and Mijo turned left. Chris found the room with the king sized bed and jumped on the bed. He had found the master bedroom. He dumped his stuff on the bed and went searching for Mijo. He went into another bedroom with two twin sized beds. Mijo was there.
Mijo: I can’t find the master bedroom!
Chris: That’s cause I found it!
Mijo: Now I have to sleep in a lil bed!
Chris: Tough luck lil bro…
He said that patting his back and walking out the room. He turned back around and saw Mijo struggling to pull the two beds together. He just laughed his way back to his bedroom.
Chris: Time to call her!

We reached my apartment building. I went to step out the door and Chris grabbed my hand.

Lelique: Yea….Let’s discuss this later.
I reached in my purse for a pen. I found it and wrote my digits on his hand.
Lelique: Good-nite Chris!
I walked up to the door opening, then I heard screaming.
Mijo: WHAT ABOUT ME?
I just smiled.
Lelique: Good-nite Mijo!
I blew him a kiss and walked inside….
With Chris……………………………..
Chris: Mijo, just give it up!
Mijo: Not till I win my dream girl!
Chris just gave him this insane look.
Chris: Man! I done told you to stay away from that tattoo ink! It’s getting to ya brain now!
And they drove off to Manhattan from there.

I managed to sneak into my room cause everyone was asleep. I quickly washed up and changed into my dad’s old black oversized t-shirt. I climbed into my bed with my cell phone next to me on my nightstand. Just waiting for that incoming call……..
