` We're Just Friends;; {must read!}
You know how they say a boy and a girl can never be best friends, there's always one of them who wants it more. Well, not in my case. Me and my friend Chris, we knew each other since the 5th grade. But I'm not gonna lie, when I first seen him, I thought he was cute. But once I started to know him, he was like the big brotehr I've never had( since I'm the only child and all). Now we're ending our Junior year together. People think we an undercover couple, but I'm telling ya'll, we just friends.
Last Day of School
It's last period. Me and Chris got gym last period together, but he's always sitten with his boys and I'm always sitting with my girls. We're all talking when I felt this paper ball hit me on the back of my head! I turned around looking for the idiot who threw it. When I looked Chris's way, him and his little friends start dying. Me, all mad, just gave them the finger and turned around.
" Yo Dylan, open up the paper!" I heard him yell from across the bleachers. So I did. It did make me smile when I read it. I love you best friend was what it said.
"Aww. Yo Dylan, you and Chris should really go out." said my friend Nia.
"Come on now girl! I told before. He's like my brother. I call his mother mommy more than I call my own. We best friends."
"Mhmm whatever girl." Lanaisha told me. Shoot, her and Nia are always tag-teamming on me about that. Maybe it's a twin thing. Anywho, so I took out a pen and wrote something back. And just like it hit me, it him too, but in the face. Then he gave me the" why would you do that" type of look. But when he read what it said, he gave me the " I can't believe you wrote that" type of look.
"What you wrote to him?"
"You know how he said 'I love you best friend.' Well, I wrote' wish I can say the same.'" I said laughing.
Both Nia and Lanaisha was just lookin' at me like I'm stupid. But hey, I can't help it.
School was finally over and like always, I was waiting for Chris to come out. And like always, he takes forevre because of these girls who just love to be around him. When I see him I start to walk
"Dylan hold up." Chris said tryna catch up to me.
"Chris I'm tired right now. Mr.Heeley made me run laps for like 10 minutes!"
"I know, I was there. And he kind of made everybody do that."
"Well it felt like it was just me. Shoot the way he was running after me like that." He just started laughing at me.
" It's not funny Chris! Stop laughing." I said whining like a 5 year old to him. Everytime I do that, he does anything for me. So then, he carried me all the way home. What a big brother I have.

WOW. Can't believe its over. That wasn't the twist I expected lol. But that was really good. Nice story. The classic "in love with my bff" with a lil twist. OOOH now she can go to Isaiah (cuz I liked him) and he can go back to Jalen...even though she catty lol. Good job. That was sweet. LMAO @ the whole kiss scene at the end.

The First Day of School
It's the first day of school again. Finally a senior! I'm sitting in the gym since that's my first period. It's me and Shad and some other guys chillen on one side. Dylan has the same period gym, but she's sitten with the twins. We talking again, just as friends. But that don't mean I don't got any feelings for her. She's still my number one boo. But too everyone else, she's still my "sister".
"Yo Shad, rip me out a piece of paper."
I wrote something in the paper, crumbled it up and threw it at Dylan. It hit her right on the head. I started laughing.
"Open it!" I said mad loud. I could tell her reaction.
Dylan.
When I opened the paper it read, "I love you." I can't lie, it did make me smile.
"Girl what is says?" Nia asked all ghetto like.
"It says I love you."
"Aww, and what you gonna write back?"
I smiled and wrote" I love to you...best friend."
It didn't work between me and Chris as badly as I wanted to. But at the same time it's kind of good cause I would of lost a best friend.
It's the end of the day now and like always I wanted for Chris.
"Aww you waited for me! I feel loved!" he said skipping around all gay like.
I couldn't help but to laugh."So where we gonna go?"
"Anywhere you wanna." he said smiling at me. Damm I love this kid."Yo can I ask you something?"
"Okay."
He stopped right in front of me and moved closer."Can I get one last kiss?" I wasn't going to lie, I wanted it too. So I did. It wasn't that long cause everyone still had that impression that we're the best of friends. He opened his eyes and could not stop cheesing.
"Ahh I got you cheesin! I got that good stuff!" I said doing my little dance.
"yeah okay.My ish is betta B!"
Then he started showing off with his dancin skills. I just shook my head and kept on walking. Can't change this Chris for nothing. But I love him how he is. He's my brother my better half, my best friend for life.

I knocked on his door and he answered. He looked mighty shocked to se me.
"Dylan?"
"Hi Chris. I called you but you ain't pick up my last three calls." I said inviting myself in the house.
"So you want something to drink?"
"No Chris."
"Hey Chris can you help me with this." I looked up the staircase and I see Jalen walking down the stairs with his shirt on.
"Okay Chris. I understand why you aint pick up my calls for the past...forever!" I said leaving.
"Dylan no, its not even like that."
"Then what the f^ck is it like then Chris? Everything was going great until this girl comes and says she wants you back in her life again Chris!"
"Dylan just hear me out!"
"No! I've been trying to call you for the past week. And now you want to talk? Now you want me to hear you?"
I could tell he looked mad."Babe nothing went on up there! She came over right quick. I offered her a drink and the drink spilled all over her so she put her clothes in the dryer and I gave her a short to wear."
"So motha f^ckin what!" was all I could think in my head. But knowing the good hearted Chris he is, he was telling the truth. I told him I'll see him around and just walked over to my room. Damm Chris why?
Later that Night
Chris.
It's 10:37 and Dylan still ain't call me. So I called her to see if she was still heated about what happened.
"Hello?"
"Dylan, babe. You okay?"
"Mhmm."
"You don't sound like it."
"I'm okay Chris." she said in the most neutral voice ever.
"So what did you do today?"
"Well....since my plans that I was planning to do didnt really work out, I went over to Isaiah's."
"...why?"
"I just told you."
"And what did ya'll talk about."
"Are you mad at me cause I went to Isaiah's Chris?"
"No I just wanna know what ya'll was talkin 'bout."
"Nothing. I asked houw he was doing, he was answering it very detailed. Happy?"
"Yo whats your problem Dylan?"
"You Chris! You haven't told me why you ain't talk to me that whole last week."
Honestly, I don't know. I guess I was still kind of stuck on the Jalen thing.
"Oh now you silent Chris. Well lemme break it. Answer this question. How can two people be in a relationship if one of them can't trust the other? How's that going to work?"
"Well...the two people that's having this issue can solve it out. It the one that can't trust the other give that person some time to build the trust up again, maybe it can work."
"But what if the otehr person...isn't willing to try?"
".....then I guess it's over."
"I guess so Chris."
The line went dead. Sh^t man.
Dylan.
I know Chris too well. And I know all Chris's ex's to well. And all the girls he went out with, well most of them started to feel hurt. They started to get hurt and ending up breaking it off in a hurtful way. I know Chris is a loving guy but it's just the stupidest things he do that makes these girls not want to try anymore. And I didn't want to be on that list. Sorry.

A few days passed and Chris has been acting strange lately. Ever since Jalen has came back and said she wants him in her life agian, things has just haven't been the same again. We hardly talk, we hardly speak. And this has been happening for the past week and a half. My parents finally came back and they are totally clueless of what went down when they weren't here. As far as they know, I was chillen with Chris the whole time, which is part of the truth. Isaiah lost contact with me too. Although I can understand why though. I wouldn't want to talk to me either, but I still feel like I should apologize. He wasn't ever bad to me, it was me that was.
So I got up, got dressed and headed over to Isaiah's house. It didn't take me long to get there. I rang the doorbell, nobody answered, so I went around back to see if he was there. He was shootin hoops right behind his house.
"Hey."
He stopped and turned around. He gave me a quick smile and walked over to me and gave me a hug. Nice to see that he doesn't hate me.
"Hey girl. How you been?"
"Um, okay I guess."
"Cool. Can I get you anything to drink or something? It's got to be in the house though."
"No its okay. Thank you though.
He smiled and just went back to what he was doing before."So what brings you around babe."
"I haven't heard from you in a while. Just wanted to see if you were okay."
"I'm good, just chillen really."
"...oh, okay."
He took the basketball and placed it on the floor."You wanna go inside?"
"Sure."
"Wait. Matter of fact, lets go sit in the front steps. My mom is home right now and she just ain't in the mood to have company over."
I just laughed and said okay. So we went to the front of his house and we were talking for a while. Then it got quiet. Like an akward silence though.
"So how's you and Chris?"
I felt my heart skip a beat. How did he know?
"You knew?"
He just knodded his head."I mean its cool though. I aint mad or nothing, I was hurt but I ain't mad no more."
"Oh...well we okay. I guess."
"Why the 'i guess'?"
"I just...haven't been seeing him lately. It's like he's trying to avoid me kind of."
"Mhmm." he said chuckling.
"Whats so funny?" I asked. Honestly I wanted to know cause I wasn't laughing myself.
" Mmm nothing. You what...I haven't seen Jalen either lately. Like the past couple of days she's been coming over but. Now she just left out of no where."
I haven't seen Jalen lately either.
"Um, Isaiah. Ima see you later. I gotta go....yea."
On that I got up and hurried over to Chris's house. As I was walking I was calling his phone but he still isn't picking up. The one thing I am hoping for, is when I knock on that door he's home watching t.v by himself.
