Shad’s POV
It was around 3 in the afternoon and Miya was still sleeping. A few times I wanted to go up and wake her but ma said she needed all the rest she could get, so I waited patiently in the {kitchen.} “Yoooo, Miya still sleep? She can sleep longer then I can.” Chris said walking into the kitchen and going into the refrigerator. “When you get here?” I asked. Chris shrugged, “I live here. I come and go as I please! I’m the man of the house.” Chris said. “Oh is that right?” Shad’s dad asked walking in the room. “Heeeyy Uncle C. What’s up?” Chris said walking out the kitchen. “Ay Shad?!” Dru said coming in the kitchen. “What up?” I asked. “We bout to go walk to the mall.” Dru said. “Aight.” I said.
Miya’s POV
My eyes finally opened up. I yawned and sat on the bed. Man that was the best sleep I’ve ever gotten. I had a lot more energy now. I got up and washed up and put an {outfit} on. I put my hair in a pony tail and put my new favorite {earrings} on. I heard someone knock on my door. “Come in.” I said. I saw Shad walk in. “Hey Shad.” I said staring into my mirror putting gel in my hair. “Damn where you going lookin that good?” Shad asked. I laughed a little, “Thank you. I wasn’t planning on going anywhere. Everything your mom gave me to wear is very pretty.” I said. “Oh…aight…” Shad said then he got quiet. I glanced at him and caught him staring. I smiled, “Shad!” “Huh?! Oh my bad.” He said then licked his lips. You can’t be walking around here like that.” Shad said biting his bottom lip. “I’ll be fine. Did you want something?” I asked. “Oh! Oh yea we about to go take a walk to the mall.” Shad said. “Were walking?” I asked. “Yea it’s right up the street.” He said. “Ok I’m coming.” I said. We both went down stairs and saw everybody standing there but Dani. “Where’s DanI?” I asked. “She’s up stairs. She’s not feeling so good.” Rachell said. “Ok be right back.” I said going back up stairs. I went into Dani’s {room} and saw her laying on her bed. I knelt beside her bed and she looked up at me and smiled. “Hey missy I hear you not feeling good.” I said. She shook her head no and placed her hand on her head. “Well I’m about to go somewhere but I’ll be back. Mama V and uncle Ced will take good care of you ok?” I said and she nodded. “You want me to bring you back a snack?” I asked her. She nodded, “Cookies?” “Yup sugar cookies, your favorite.” I said. She smiled then closed her eyes. I kissed her head, “Hope you feel better.” I said then walked back down stairs. “Alright I’m ready.”

damn...i ain't been here in a minute...i'm so happy she and her sisters got a home!!! and her and shad are cute together....she might just sleep the whole day away...i know that is the best feeling in the world to FINALLY have a bed to yourself...RUN IT!!!

I could of sworn I posted this next part but I guess not...oh well here ya go.

After me and Shad’s little talk we were just sitting on my {bed} talking and laughing about everything that popped into our heads. Shad mother walked in. “Hey mama V.” I smiled. “Hey, your sisters are all tucked into their beds. Now your free to get anything you need or want. And if you need me don’t be afraid to come to me, you hear me?” Mama V asked. “Yes ma’am.” I said. “Ok now don’t stay up too long. Good night.” Mama V said walking out the room “Good night.” I said. “Night mama.” Shad said.
Once Mama V left the room Shad’s eyes shot at me. “What?” I asked. He smirked and immediately hopped on top of me and started tickling me. “Shad…stop!” I said laughing. He got off me and smiled. “Man this bed comfortable. I might have to sleep with you tonight.” Shad said bouncing on the bed. “No your gonna sleep in your own room.” I said hitting him with a pillow. “It’s like that though?” Shad asked. “Just like that.” I giggled. “Aight you saying that now but don’t be yelling my name when you see a monster under your bed…matter a fact maybe I should just stay here and protect you.” Shad said laying down. I laughed, “No shad!” I said pushing him, then he fell off the bed. I started dying laughing. I didn’t mean to push him off the bed. He got up, “So that’s funny?” “I’m sorry.” I laughed. He smiled, “Aight, I’ll get you back.” He said. I smiled. “Lemme let you get your rest.” Shad said getting off the bed. “I’ll see you in the morning.” Shad said bending over to kiss my check but he ended up kissing my lips. He pulled away then winked at me and left the room. I sighed, and felt butterflies in my stomach once again. I smiled and ran my hands over the bed. I haven’t slept in a bed in…too long. I thanked God for giving us a home.

I ended up shedding a few tears. He took me in his arms and whispered in my ear, “See doesn’t that feel better?” I nodded my head and smiled. “Now all that stuff you just let out is in the past. Now we only gotta look forward to the future. Let the past go.” Shad told me. “I don’t know if I can.” I said. “I’m here to help.” He said.
