Best Friend
I all began with me liking you in sixth grade,
I loved to say you name as it slithered through my lips with a smile.
In seventh grade we became the best of friends, It bothered your girlfriend that we hang-out,
but her jealousy didn’t bother neither of us.
And now we’re in eighth grade,
It started out with you needing an opinion about a girl that you really like,
us hanging out more than usual,
to talking on the phone for hours,
now it’s giving each other hugs everyday.
But I have come to see u with different eyes.
At school everyone asks “are you guys going out?” I would love to day “yes”.
It has even happen that you ask me who I like,
My reply is no one,
what I really mean to say is “you”. But I’m afraid how you’ll react if I tell you the truth.
So for now I’ll retain this secret.
