look around and I see the world dying

See countless mothers crying

Watching wars wage

In this "new" age

we dont care about killing thousands in war

Yet cry for years when a storm hits our shores

I sit here and think of what we all have become

Wanting to leave with no safe place to run

Watching the rich steal from the poor

And still wanting more

Knowing those with power are those most corrupt

Then seeing them turn to blame it on us

Babys being killed because their mothers made mistakes

Drugs being taken as if it was a game

Men raping women and leaving them to die

People witnessing murders and being to scared to testify

The world wont change

And we all are to blame

It’s a damn shame

that it all stays the same

Maybe if we didnt care so much about fancy cars and expensive clothes

Buy multi million dollar houses and diamonds by the load

Thered be no market of oil that people die over

Thered be no people who call others owner

If people were honest with each other and didnt complain

Thered be no sad losses or mass spread of A.I.D.S

The world is against us all because weve made it so

Now’s the time to step up and let the world know

We are the young the strong and we have a purpose

So lay down the guns and bring your minds into to focus

Wrap it up so women dont get pregnant

Go to school get a real job and not a life sentence

Become what we the old should have been

Do something that they never accomplished

I pray that everything may change for the better

I wish we could all be free to say this together

But there is one thing I know to be true

It can only start with me and with you

So lets all raise our voice and speak out against the sins

And if we do this together I know we all can win
