Chris smiled at {Destiny} then got his bag.
“Aight I gotta go now.” He said.
“Wait!” Destiny said then gave him her number.
“Aight I’ma talk to you later.” Chris said.
With the kids
The guy who was tryna steal the car was trying to put the keys in. Jamie was hesitant at first but then she kicked the man in back of his head real hard.
“Ahh!” The man yelled holding his head. Then he got mad and turned around and looked at Jamie.
Jamie swallowed hard and tried to get out the car but the doors were locked and the man looked like he was gonna cut her with his knife.
“Nooo!” Shelly yelled.
The man held the knife up in front of Jamie’s face and was about to cut her until the sound of a gun hammer clicked. The man turned around and saw Chris standing there pointing a gun to his face.
“Get out my car.” Chris told the guy. The guy got out and held his hands up.
“Oh my gosh! I’ma call the police!” Destiny said.
Few minutes later…
The police had arrived and took the guy away. Chris all held the kids close.
“I’m so sorry. I didn’t mean for anything to happen. Are ya’ll ok?”
He asked checking them making sure they were fine.
“Were ok.” Shelly said. They still looked shaken up. Chris sighed,
“I’m sorry ya’ll. Come on lets go home.” Chris said.
Home…
“Listen ya’ll I’m very sorry.”
“Chris ok! We get it!” Jamie said.
“Yes, you apologized a million times. We forgive you.” Shelly said.
Week later…
There was a knock on the door. Chris went over and answered it.
“Aunt Julie? Hey what are you doing here?” Chris asked.
Chris’s Aunt was not the closest person in the family. She kept her distance. She wasn’t a people person. She always seemed cold hearted. Chris never even saw her smile before. Chris hadn‘t seen her in a while. That’s why it was so surprising to see her here, now.
Chris’s {Aunt} walked in.
“Where are the kids?” She asked.
“Um they up stairs.” Chris said.
“Call them down for me.” She said.
“Ay ya’ll come down!” Chris hollered up.
The kids came walking down and walked by Chris’s side.
Aunt Julie looked them over.
“Pack your things, your coming with me.” She told the kids.
“Hold up what?” Chris asked.
“We don’t wanna go Chris.” Jamie said.
“I’ve spoken with their mother and she wants me to take them in. You don’t have to watch them anymore Chris. Now they can get some real care.” Aunt Julie said.
Chris sighed and shook his head.
“Come on ya’ll I’ll help pack.” Chris said.
“What?! No!” Shelly yelled.
“Come on.” Chris said going up stairs.
They went upstairs leaving Aunt Julie down stairs to wait.
Once they got in their room Jamie folded her arms.
“Chris we don’t wanna go with her.” She said.
Chris bent down on one knee and looked at all three of them.
“Listen, maybe this is best. As much as it’s hard to admit it, she’s right. I haven’t been taken good care of ya’ll.” Chris said.
“Chris you take great care of us!” Shelly said.
“Ya’ll could have been kidnapped because of me. I know I don’t show at times and I don’t tell ya’ll this but…I do love ya’ll and I don’t want nothing bad to happen to you guys.” Chris said.
“Chris no.” Shelly said and started to cry.
“Shhh.” Chris wiped her tears.
“I can’t forgive myself for leaving ya’ll in the car. Ya’ll could of got hurt.” Chris said.
“But Chris…everybody makes mistakes remember?” Shelly said.
Chris smiled a little, “Stop using my words against me. Look, Aunt Julie can do a better job of taking care of ya’ll. That’s what ya’ll need. Now come on lets get your stuff packed.”
After they were all packed they came back down stairs.
“Ok why the long faces?” Aunt Julie asked looking at the kids.
“They a little nervous about going.” Chris said.
“Welp! No worries, ya’ll will have…a lot of fun.” Aunt Julie smirked.
“Ok lets get ya’ll in the car.” Chris said. They all walked outside and Chris placed their things in the trunk of Aunt Julies car. Then all three of the kids got in the back and sat down. Chris helped put their seat belts on, “Aight I want ya’ll to be good ok?” Chris asked. The kids sat there not saying a word just wiping away their tears. Chris couldn’t even look at them cause it was breaking his heart but he knew this was the right thing to do. He almost got them hurt…they needed better care.
After they were belted in Chris finally looked at them.
“No bye bye Chiss.” Timothy said reaching his arms out towards him. Chris hugged all three and kissed each forehead. Then shut the car door. He went to Aunt Julie’s window,
“Um you got a number and address so I can come and check up on them sometime?” Chris asked her.
Aunt Julie rolled her eyes and gave Chris a slip of paper.
“Thanks.” Chris said. Aunt Julie started up the car. Chris stepped back and looked at the kids in the car.
Their tears were stabbing his heart. The car then drove down the road and he watched until he couldn’t see the car anymore. Rain started to pour and he stood there biting his lip trying not to cry.

Ok thanx ya'll and Abryle i'll read it!
It was 8:30 at night and everybody was up watching the movie. It was dark with only the glare of the tv screen lightened up the room. The kids laughed in amusement to the movie ‘Monsters Inc.’ Chris was starting to nod off.
“Hey!” The kids yelled. Chris jumped,
“What happen?”
Timothy pointed to the tv screen. Chris looked over and saw that the tv had went out. He got up and tried to turn it back on but it wouldn’t. He tried turning on the light but that wouldn’t come on either. He went to the window and looked out.
“Aww man blackout.” Chris said.
“Oh no! It’s too dark Chris!” Shelly yelled.
“It’s cool, chill.” Chris said then he went and got a candle.
“It’s time for ya’ll to get some sleep anyway.” Chris said. He picked up Tim.
“Chris, I’m not even tired.” Jamie said rubbing her eyes then yawning.
“It sure looks like it to me. Come on.” Chris said leading the way to upstairs. Shelly and Jamie got up and followed. Once they got in their room, Chris placed Timothy on the bed and the girls got in.
“Night Chris.” Shelly said.
“Night.” Chris said. Timothy was already sleeping.
“Chris, I don’t appreciate being sent to bed and not being tired.” Jamie said.
“Just lay back and close your eyes.” Chris said pulling the covers over them.
After a couple minutes all three had fell asleep. Chris stood by their bed.
“This the only time ya’ll ever quiet.” Chris smiled and shook his head. He placed a flash light
by their bed and left the room.
The next day; Saturday
“Alright Tim you gon brush em for me?” Chris asked handing him his tooth brush.
“Pleeeeese?” Chris begged. Timothy grinned and took the tooth brush and started brushing.
“Yes! thank you.” Chris said.
After getting Tim ready he came down stairs.
“I don’t wanna go!” Jamie said.
“Me neither.” Shelly said.
“Why ya’ll complaining? It’s Saturday! We can’t just sit in the house. I’ll buy ya’ll some ice cream, how bout that?” Chris asked.
“Yay!” They yelled.
“Haha see ice cream solves everything. Get in the car.” Chris said. They all walked out the house.
Chris first drove to a near by store.
“Aight I’ll be right back. I gotta go get something right quick.” Chris said taking his seat belt off.
“Wait, Chris, your leaving us in the car…by ourselves?” Shelly asked.
“I’m only gonna be a second. If anything happens beep the horn.” Chris said then he got out and walked into the store.
He picked up a couple things and went over to the register. A beautiful young lady was standing there. Chris smiled and she smiled back. She stood there staring at him until he waved his hand in her face.
“Anybody home?” Chris asked.
“Oh!…I’m sorry.” She said.
Chris smirked, “You good sweet heart, here you go.” Chris said handing her his things.
She rung them up but kept sneaking peaks at him smiling. He bit his bottom lip and winked at her making her even more bothered then she already was.
Chris laughed a little, “What’s your name?”
“Um…it’s..uh…Destiny.” She finally got out.
Chris started flirting with her forgetting he had the kids waiting for him in the car.
With the kids
“Man where is he?” Jamie asked.
“I don’t know. Why is it so deserted around here? Where is everybody?” Shelly asked.
“And look dummy Chris left his keys in the car.” Jamie said holding it up. Just then a man came through her window and took them out her hand. The girls screamed as he tried to get in the drivers seat.
“No! No you get out!” Timothy said tryna hit the guy.
“Keep his mouth shut or I’ll make him keep it shut.” The guy said holding up a knife. Jamie grabbed Tim.
The girls shook in fear. Shelly wanted to reach and beep the horn but the guy was sitting in the drivers seat already.

“Man Chris you can’t cook but you sure can order some pizza.” Rodney said getting up from the table.
“Aight man see you later.” Chris said.
“Peace.” Rodney said then left the house.
Chris looked at the kids, “Aight time for bed.”
“It’s seven o clock.” Shelly said.
“So what ya’ll gonna do?” Chris asked.
All three kids shrugged.
“Ya’ll wanna watch a movie?” Chris asked.
They all smiled.
“Yea!!” Timothy yelled.
“Aight go ahead and sit down in the other room. I’ll go get a movie.” Chris said.
They went in the other room and Chris went to search for a movie.
Once he finally found one he went to where the kids were. The kids sat on the couch looking depressed.
“What’s wrong with ya’ll?” Chris asked.
“It’s not like you would care.” Jamie said.
Chris sat down, “So ya’ll not gon tell me?”
Shelly looked down then back up at Chris slowly,
“We miss our mom. Today is Mother’s Day and we can’t even tell her Happy Mother’s Day.”
Chris sighed “Damn” he thought.
“If I knew where your mother was I would take ya’ll to her, but I don’t.”
“This is f***ed up!!” Jamie yelled.
“Ay watch your mouth!” Chris yelled.
“No!!” She yelled back
“Chris you don’t understand!! Our mother abandoned us!! She doesn’t care about us, she doesn’t love us! What did we ever do to her?” Jamie was now breaking down in tears.
Chris walked over and held her.
“I miss her so much. Why would she do this to us? Why doesn’t she love us?” Jamie asked.
“I don’t know.” Chris didn’t have any of the answers to any of her questions.
Jamie pushed Chris off of her, “I hate her!!!”
“You don’t mean that. Your just mad-”
“How the hell you know what I mean?!! You don’t understand!” Jamie yelled.
“But I do.” Chris said then looked down,
“My mother walked out on me and your mothers life when we was younger. I was 13 and one day she just up and left. You know what was really messed up about it?” Chris asked.
Jamie was now calm and listening just as well as Tim and Shelly.
“It was my 13th birthday. I thought she was going to go buy me that blue bike I asked for all year long. She kept saying she was going to go buy it for me so I thought she was going to go get it. After waiting for her for about 5 hours I just gave up hope. Then my uncle came over and told me she wasn’t coming back. He told me she just had to get away for a little while. I ain’t seen her sense. I was mad just like you are. I said things I didn’t mean. After awhile though, after I grew up, I forgave her.” Chris explained.
“How can you forgive someone like that?” Shelly asked.
“Shelly everybody makes mistakes. I’ve did things that weren’t so good but if God can forgive me for the dumb decisions I’ve done, I can forgive her. Ya’ll gotta understand she’s still your mother. Yea she messed up but, I know for a fact she loves ya’ll cause if she didn’t she wouldn’t of gave ya’ll up to me. She has serious issues that she need to deal with and she’s just not stable enough to raise ya’ll.” Chris said. The kids sat there looking like they was taking it all in.
“Well, if mama had to leave us with anybody I’m glad it was you.” Jamie said smiling a little bit.
“Woa! Was that a compliment?” Chris asked.
“I guess. Don’t get use to it though.” Jamie said.
Chris laughed then looked at them.
“Ya’ll good?” He asked. They all nodded.
“Thanks Dad.” Shelly said. Chris sighed,
“I’m not your dad.”
“Can we call you Uncle Dad?” Shelly asked.
“Just call me Chris.” Chris smiled
“…hey ya’ll wanna watch that movie now or what?” Chris asked
“Yea!!” They all yelled. Chris smiled and popped the movie
