I pulled out my pocketknife. She was pushing her luck already. Immediately when she saw the pocketknife, she stepped back.
Adrienne: What the f*** is that?
Vanessa: What the f*** does it look like? You need glasses?
Adrienne: You’re crazy!
Vanessa: No, you’re the crazy one! You should know by now that no one messes with me!
Adrienne: Chill…..
Vanessa: All I’m sayin is watch out……..I’m warning you.
Adrienne: Look, I’m out……
Vanessa: Yea….better biatch!
She left and I washed my hands. She’s so lucky I go to church cause if not, that s*** woulda been slit up her throat! I fixed my hair and laughed at myself for a quick second.
Vanessa: Ha-ha! The ghetto is coming back!
I left the restroom and saw Adrienne cuddled up on Chris. Dru just sat there in full repulsion. I sat next to him in the corner and Adrienne sat up. She looked at me scared and I gave her a look. Dru cut in to stop the madness.
Dru: You ready to order.
Vanessa: Uh….yea…….
We all ordered our foods and waited in pure silence. And I mean pure. When the food came, we all stuffed our mouths. In the meanwhile, Chris decides to test me by feeding Adrienne pieces of pancake. Dru and I looked at each other and back at them. Ewwwwwwwww……….. Dru whispered in my ear:
Dru: Don’t mind them. He’s tryna prove a point which is taking him no where.
I just smiled. He grabbed my thigh and squeezed it. I busted out in laughter. They both looked at me. Dru just wrapped his arm around me and cuddled me in. I rested my head on his shoulder. Chris looked at me. He looked disappointed and confused at the same time….What’s up with him? Did I show him who’s bigger or did I make a big mistake?

~Chapter 3~
We hopped in Dru’s car since neither Chris or I had one. Chris has his license but can’t afford one. I don’t blame him. Anyways, Chris hopped in the front seat and I hopped in the back. I saw Dru look at me from the rear view mirror and bit his lip. I gave him a sincere smile. Then Chris cut in.
Chris: Are we gonna go or what? My girl is waiting!
He emphasized on the word girl. Was he tryna get me jealous now?
Dru cut on the car and started the engine.
Dru: Ready?
Chris: Uh….yea! Been ready for like what? 15 minutes!
He then pulled off. When we arrived a Adrienne’s house, she was at her doorstep dressed in this:

That slut. I can’t stand her gut at all. She makes some smart comments and she just acts all b****y. Chris must be crazy to be with her.
She hopped in the backseat next to me (like she had any other choice). I decided to be the nice one and say hello.
Vanessa: Hi! (smiling)
Adrienne (attitude): Hi….
She rolled her eyes. I swear to god! I hope Dru keeps me from cutting her!
Chris (to Adrienne): Hey baby…..
Those words got me all shook up. I began to sweat in my palms.
Adrienne: Hey Chrissy……Hey Dru!
She looked at Dru with seductive eyes. I suspected she has a thing for Dru also!
Dru (annoyed): Hi Adrienne…..
She sat back in her seat and straightened her dress. I looked at her and she looked at me. She rolled her eyes again. I just took out my Sidekick and began to twiddle with it.
When we finally got to Denny’s (Dru decided to go there cause it was a quick drive), Chris and Dru got out the car. Chris opened the door for Adrienne. I decided I wanted to get out after her but before I could, she slammed the door in my face.
Vanessa (mumbled):b****……………..
On the other side, Dru opened the door for me after the incident. I climbed out and he grabbed my waist. She held onto my waist all he way into the restaurant.
After we got seated and looked at our menu’s, I decided to go to the bathroom. I excused myself. To my surprise, “Ms. Thang” ova was there determined to go with me. So we both left and went to the bathroom. I used it but she didn’t. She just looked at herself in the mirror the whole time. Watever.
When I finished, I went to go wash my hands, the whole time, she just mean mugged me. I turned my direction to her.
Vanessa: Can I help you?
Adrienne: b**** please….
Vanessa: Excuse me? [I snapped in her face] Who is you talkin` 2? Don’t get me mixed up with ya double twisted so called friends!
Adrienne: Yea right…you talk a lotta smack!

I woke up nice and refreshed. I did my whole hygiene thing and got dressed in this:

I answered the door and saw Chris dressed in a fresh white tee, some blue faded jeans, and some red, blue, and silver Nike Blazers. He was looking fine!
Vanessa: You look good!
Chris: You do too!
He stood there licking his lips and looking me up and down. I almost melted. I signaled him to the couch. I could smell the scent of his Axe float in the air. We sat down.
Vanessa: Soooooo…………
Chris: Soooooo………..
Vanessa: Where’s Adrienne?
Chris: Home….I thought you couldn’t stand her?
Vanessa: I can’t!
Chris: Awww…..But she’s not that bad!

I got up to answer it. It was Dru, Chris’ stepbrother. Chris’ mother took him into custody after a horrible relationship with his father.

He walked over to him and gave him daps. He sat down on the other side of me so now I had to sit in the middle. I walked over and sat down and Dru grabbed my hand.

Chris’ eyes looked at Dru. Dru just smirked. I sensed a spark of jealousy coming from Chris now.
Vanessa: I’m hungry Chris, aren’t you?

Dru: Me too….let’s head out.
We got up and headed out the door.
