Mona cleared her throat a little while after Dee excused herself to the bathroom.

"Sooo ... Do you care to explain?" Mona asked Mike. Ms. Lily peeked from around the corner giving him the look like 'you should have been told her'. Mike stood up then bent over to pick up Cairo. He walked over to the couch and sat next to Mona. He took a deep breath.

"Well about the time Maxx moved down to Maryland I was dating KiSandra. It was pretty serious I mean I loved the girl with all my damn heart. We were going strong then a little while ago she found she was pregnant. So I started getting my life together. I had school, a job, and trapping every now and then. maxx offered to let me stay with them get me a nice place for the fam and all that. And that is what I was planning to do. Then the baby came and KiKi changed. She was staying out late and when she did come home she wasn't sleeping for days on end. I thought maybe it was that after baby depression thing. So I paid it no mind until one day ..... I had a whole bunch to do school, work, I was planning on leaving later that week so I was running all day. KiKi had to watch him of course but what could go wrong when a child is with their mother."

He paused looking down at Cairo as he looked up at him face full of joy not knowing he had already experienced one of the worst things ever before he even reached 6 months at the time. A tear slid down Mike's cheek. Ms. Lily went back into the kitchen fighting tears. "I was out later than expected but I couldn't wait to see my little boy and hold my girl all through the night. But I went back to empty home. Naturally I panicked. I called my mom, her mom, her friends, my friends, and finally I called one of my block boys and told me she was up at the house."

He got up and put Cairo in the playpen with a few toys.

"I was thinking like what in the f*** is she doing up at the f***ing house at this time of night with my f***ing child. So I rushed over there. I walked up to my manz but he pointed to the next house and I didn't know what the f*** to feel about her being in the "other" house.

{Flashback}

Mike looked at all the niggas in the trap house.

"Why the f*** is she in there? Did y'all niggas even try to get her out talk to her? Why didn't yall call me?"

"Son we tried to get her out even take the baby from her but she was not having that. I called you and everything brah. But you didn't pick up. Called you like ten times mane." The guy said defending himself.

"What the f*** ever brah!!" Mike yelled running next door. He rushed and saw what broke his heart to pieces. Cairo was unaware of the things going on around him chewing on an empty bottle nipple and KiSandra nodding on the floor with a needle in her arm.

"KISANDRA WHAT THE f***!!" He yelled rushing over to check out Cairo and make sure he was okay.

"Why you being sohfgggdjloudjhd" She mumbled as she dozed back off. After making sure Cairo was well. He looked at KiSandra in utter disgust.

"Burn in hell.." Mike said then spat on her slumped body. He went to his car and called the police filing a report on who was once the love of his life. He let them know where she was and that he had his child. He went to his Ms. Lily's house and laid Cairo in his mother's bed. He put a couple of pillows around him.

He went back in the living room with his mom and cried, cried harder than he ever had in his life. Ms. Lily just rubbed his back not wanting to know exactly what happened.

Mona looked at Mike trying so hard to fight the tears. Maxx shook his head hearing the story all over again and went to find out what was taking Dionne so long in the bathroom. Mona stood up a walked over to Mike wrapping her arms around his waist.

"Baby I am so sorry you had to experience something like that. You are an amazing man." She wiped the tears from his eyes. "Cairo could have asked for a better father and will appreciated you as he gets older."

"I know but sometimes I think I should have known and protected him .... s*** even her" He said.

"You can't save everybody sweetie." Mona responded.

Ms. Lily walked out the kitchen with grilled chicken sandwich and house salad. "I like this one boy."

"You liked KiSandra too Ma!!" Mike said knowing hse hated her.

"To hell I did. Don't make m e want you boy!!" Ms. Lily said cutting her eyes at him. He laughed and sat on the couch and turned on the tv.

He peeked over at the playpen and saw Cairo sleeping peacefully.

"Ma is it cool if we chill here for a bit?" Mike asked. "I missed you guys"

"Boy you know I don't care.." She said stuffing her mouth. "Now I can get some rest." She said with a little chuckle.

"Hey were is Dee and Maxx?" Mona asked. Ms.Lily shook her head.

"Maximus I KNOW YOU NOT f***ING IN MY DAMN BATHROOM AGAIN." She yelled. Mona's mouth fell open as she looked at Mike who busted out laughing.

"Dionne is trying make me do it. I told her no means no!" He said running down the hall as Dee chased him.

"Ohhh you liar!!" She yelled. Cairo started crying and they all got quiet then he went right back to sleep.

"It is okay baby .. I know how your boyfriend is." Ms. Lily whispered.

"We staying brah, so what yall bout to do?" Mike asked channel checking.

Maxx looked over at Dionne who was bent over lacing up her shoes.

"We going to the house brah. Probably start dinner for yall or something. But let me know if y'all going to be eating here by like 4 or so." Maxx said and Mike just nodded.

"Okay Ms.Lilly Dee and I will be back to visit you before we go." Maxx said with his arms open for a hug.

"I know you will boy." She said hugging him and Dionne. "Nice meeting you sweetie."

"You too." Dee said sweetly.

"Hop on cowgirl!" Maxx said knelling down and Dee jumped up on him.

"YEE-HAAAWW" She said and Maxx made a little horse noise. Ms. Lily chuckled as they made their way out the door.

"Something is so wrong with your friend Mike." She said locking her down.

"Don't I know it Mama." He replied as he watched ESPN.

Dee and Maxx made their way back through the streets of Brooklyn and ended up back at their brownstone. Maxx tossed her on the bed and she had a laughing fit.

"Goofy ass." He said walking to their bathroom. Dee ran over to her bag and pulled out a little something and ran to Mona and Maxx room to change and use the bathroom quickly.

Maxx walked out the bathroom and didn't see Dee but figured she had went to get a snack so he turned on the tv to unwind a bit. A few minutes later Dee stood in the doorway wearing something like this

"I think I am ready"

"Excuse Me!" Mona asked stepping away from him.

"Baby if we go inside I can explain it all." Mike said with pleading eyes. "So wha..?" He started before being cut off by a female.

"Well Well Look at this deadbeat f***er." Mike's babymother yelled.

"KiSandra not today!" Mike said trying to be calm.

"When?!" She yelled in his ear. "And who is this ugly hoe you wit now?" She said now directing her attention towards Mona.

Mona just looked her up and down chuckling. " I don't know who the f*** you are and you damn sure don't know me so I advised you to calm down."

"b**** please!!" KiSandra said putting her hand in Mona face. "What you came to play house with your new pet?"

"Better than anything you call yourself doing!" Mike responded.

"I was doing a damn good job. At least I wasn't pinning our son on my mother." She yelled back.

"So having your son in a crack house is soo much better!" He said now furious. "Why am I even still talking to you?" He grabbed Mona hand and walked right around her into the building with Maxx and Dee following behind.

They headed up the 14 flight of stairs to his mom's apartment.

Dee leaned up on the wall out of breath. "Why did we walk pass the elevator again?"

Mona laughed while fanning her nose of the horrible smell throughout the hall.

"Because that thing is always broke!" Mike said as he knocked on the door. "And you might not want to lean on that wall." She jumped up straight.

"Why?" She asked frantically, looking for something on her shirt.

"I am sure many niggas have taken their morning piss there." Maxx said as Mike's mom opened the door.

"Ekkk!!" She yelped. Mike laughed and hugged his mom.

"what is so funny out her in my hallway?" She asked.

"My silly girlfriend Ms. Lily" Maxx said.

"Ohh Maxx it has been so long since I have seen you!!" Ms. Lily screamed hugging him. He laughed hugging her back. "Come on in you all. I was about to fix some lunch. Cairo and I have been up since 7 am." She said walking back in the house and picking up Cairo.

Cairo got all excited in his grandma's arms.

Mike held out his arms for him as the crew walked in and Mona closed and looked the door.

"You missed daddy huh big guy?" He said taking him from Ms. Lily. Maxx sat at the kitchen table as the girls stood.

"You all can have a sit get comfy ladies." Ms. Lily said.

Mo and Dee sat on couch. Mike laid a blanket on the floor and sat down with Cairo still in arm. He laid him on his back and started tickling him.

"Mamaw feed you good big guy." Mike said as he kept tickling him. Cairo got a hold of his hand and starting playing with his fingers.

Mona admired them and couldn't find it in her heart to stay mad at him. She just wanted to know why he held that from her for so long.

Dee was just taking in Ms. Lily's beautifully decorated home when her eyes landed on Maxx who was sucking on her lollipop. She started at him for awhile until she decided to pull out her phone.

She looked up at him with a smirk on her face understanding his dirty joke. He nodded for her to come here and while discreetly grabbing his area. Dionne turned red with embarrassment, but she didn't get up.

"Ms. Lily where is the bathroom?"

"Last door on the right sweetie." She replied to Dee.

Dee hurriedly made her way to the bathroom as Maxx eyes followed her.

Dee sat there watching Maxx look at Mike and Cairo play. She tried so hard to pull her eyes away so she could stop the freakier vision that were coming into play. She walked over to Maxx and whispered in his ear.

"Where is the bathroom?"

"Down the hall, you will see it." She walked away.

She found the bathroom and closed the door then hopped on the sink.

She sat there for about five minutes before she heard footsteps approaching. Maxx knocked on the door.

"Yes.."

"Come across the hall ... Now" Maxx demanded.

Dionne slid off the sink counter and walked out the bathroom into the room to see Maxx laid across the bed. Dee closed the door and leaned against it looking him full of lust.

"Why you standing over there baby, come here?" Dee walked over to him, kicked her shoes off, and straddled him.

Maxx sat up with her still on his lap. He took her hair out of the bun she had it in and wrapped her hair around his hand, pulling her head back and placed kisses on her neck. He took her shirt off and kissed down her chest.

"That is because great minds think a like!" Dee said and they giggled again and then the cartoon grabbed their attention.

Ten minutes later Dee realizied that they were still waiting for the guys who were rushing them.

"I know Maxx and Mike need to hurry!! Taking forever and a day thinking niggas wanna wait for them." Dee yelled.

"WOMAN!!! You ain't no nigga!" Maxx yelled back at her.

"I am a honorary nigga!! Thug Life" She yelled. it was silent for a few minutes beforethey all busted out laughing.

"We coming man give us like five more minutes."

"ugggh! pretty boys." Mona said shaking her head. "Where did that thug life come from?"

"I think I need to stop listening to Maxx ipod." Dee said giggling.

"You are way to silly!! But in my book you are honorary." Mona said as the guys came down.

"Okay thuggies! let's be out. We walking, so no whining... DEE!!" Mike said.

"I don't whine.. Just annouce how long we have been walking." Dee defended.

"Yeah baby just accept that you whine. It is okay love." Maxx said pecking her cheek and turning to lock the door. They all headed down the street.

The guys showed the girls there favorite pizza place in that area and few other hang out places.

They began to enter a somewhat bad neighborhood and Dionne gripped Maxx's hand when a pitbull came running down the sidewalk.

"Ehhh!" She yelped and the dog ran right past them.

"Scary ass!" Maxx whispered to Dee who nudged him. He smirked down at her and she stuck her tongue out. Mike lead them to a high rise building.

"Baby why are we stopping here?" Mona asked. Mike stopped and took a deep breath looking back at Maxx. Maxx nodded at him for reassurance.

"I want you to meet my mom and daughter.."

Now that things were somewhat back to normal Maxx and Mike decided it was time to head out to New York.

"Dionneeeeeee bring yo ass down the steps!! I want to leave like now woman!" Maxx yelled up the steps.

Dee walked down the steps one at a time. "You know I don't like the tone you are using with me. New York ain't going no damn where."

"Just get in the car Dionne." Maxx said pushing her out the door. Dionne giggled as she ran to her range and hopped in the passenger seat.

"Girl what was you doing?" Mona asked.

"I kept feeling like I was forgetting something and I'm sure as soon as we get to New York it will come to.me."Dee said and Mike and Mo laughed shaking their head.

"Are you serious? That is why we was waiting." Maxx asked as he pulled out the driveway.

"Yupp!!" Maxx shook his head.

"Sooooo whats in New York? Why the sudden urge to visit?" Mona asked. Maxx looked Mike through the rearview mirror and Mike just looked out the window.

"Just wanted our favorite ladies to see a little more of us." Maxx said.

"Well it can't be that interesting because you used to be a loser baby." Dee said laughing.

"You laughing but I used to be the man in New York, nerd and all. You better recognize boo." Maxx said, making everyone laugh.

"Maxx used to be the s*** up there. Couldn't pull a b**** even if she came on to him but they loved him." Mike chimed in.

"You play ball?" Dee asked. Maxx nodded.

After about 45 minutes of driving. Mike had his head on Mona chest as they both slept. Dionne was just looking out the enjoying the ride. When nature called and called pretty loud.

"You got to use the bathroom right?" Maxx asked.

"Pretty much." She replied.

"Okay hold it a little longer. A rest stop is about 10 minutes up." Maxx said looking over at Dionne who nodded her head.

When they pulled up that place was deserted. Maxx parked and leaned back closing his eyes.

Dionne looked at him and lightly tapped his shoulder. He opened one eye. "You ain't pee yet woman?"

"I am scared." Dionne said sweetly. He sighed.

"Come on girl." He said opening his door and she did the same getting out.

"Baby .." Dionne called to him grabbing his hand. "Did you think we would ever be where we are now?" She asked as they headed to the restrooms.

"Honestly no." He said looking down at her as she looked up. "I thought after awhile you would get bored with me." He continued shyly.

"Never kiddo. Wait out here and guard for me." Dionne said as they approached the ladies room.

"I gotchu boo." Maxx said pushing her inside. To her surprise it is super clean and they had the seat papers too. Dionne put three of them down and went about her business.

As she was pulling up her pants Maxx walked in.

"Yes" she walked out the stall. "and why are you in here sir?"

"s*** I got to pee now! You took forever and a year." He laughed walking into a stall. She washed her hands and started re-doing her bun. Maxx came and watched his hands.

Maxx ran his fingers through her hair to start his work. Dionne immediately closed her eyes enjoying the feeling of such strong yet delicate hands somewhat massaging her scalp. Maxx was so focused on what he was doing until he flipped her hair and got a whiff of her hair.

"I drive!!" Dee said.

"Great cause I am sleepy and its only an hour away." Maxx said walking over to the passenger side. Dionne got in and started up the truck and waited for Mona who came skipping out soon after.

"Yo friend crazy!" Maxx said laughing. Dionne shook her head.

"Dont laugh at my girl!!" Dee said as Mona got in the car.

"Okay let's be out! I'm ready to get in a bed!!!" Mona said. Dionne pulled off wanting to get through this last hour as fast as possible.

I don't understand why I still be zoning out like that...

My schedule changes like hoe change drawls so majority of the time I am sleep or running errands but I'm trying :)
