Chris(walking back into the kitchen): No really, I’m serious……….
Tonya(following him then sitting at he counter): What do you mean?
Chris(cutting up onions): I mean, you sing beautifully, and you dance. Like……

He looked up and they caught each others eyes. Again, she stared into his as if she were searching for something. He just looked into hers as if he’d already found it.♥

It’s like whenever he looked into her eyes, he saw everything he wanted to be. Whenever she smiled, he felt like he had everything he needed to have.

Chris(lost in her eyes):……….…I……….I don’t know……..

Her look softened a little and she gave a slight smile, making Chris turn the corners of his mouth without him even realizing it.

They slowly started to lean in as if they were going to share a kiss, but…….

Destiny: DADDY!!!!!

Chris closed his eyes and sighed.

Tonnie snapped out of it and looked away.

Chris(yelling upstairs): WHAT?
Destiny: I’M HUNGRY. IS IT TIME TO EAT YET?
Chris: YEA, BABY. COME ON DOWN.

They heard her little footsteps coming down the steps. It felt kind of awkward, Tonya went to setting the table and Chris finished up the spaghetti.

I put the noodles on for the spaghetti then I heard that same song Destiny was singing and dancing to in the car booming from my living room. Except this time I heard Tonnie singing too.

I decided to sneak up to see what they were doing.

Destiny had the TV remote and Tonnie had the cable remote, and they were singing and dancing along with the videos.

She know I don’t let her watch videos any other time, but this time I’ll let her slide.♥

Tonya(smiling): All the single ladies!
Destiny(smiling): All the single ladies!

Tonya started dancing and singing the chorus while teaching the moves to Destiny.

Destiny was picking them up.

Tonya kept singing and stopped dancing to watch Destiny go by herself.

They kept dancing……..it was so cute.

Then the break down came up and Destiny just sat back and watched Tonnie perform for her.

Tonnie started clowning and singing for real.

Tonya turned around pale as a ghost, she was so embarrassed.

Tonya(nervous): How long were you standing there……….

He started singing and ATTEMPTING to do the dance from the video stupidly.

We started laughing.

Destiny: Daddy, please stop!
Chris: What? You think I cant dance as good as you Dezzi?
Destiny: No, you can’t dance as good as Tonnie!

Chris started tickling her again and she started screaming laughing.

Chris(as he’s tickling her): She has a good point though, where did you learn to dance like that?
Tonya: I’ve been dancing since I was like 6.
Destiny(excited): REALLY?!? CAN YOU SHOW ME SOME STUFF!
Chris(serious): Destiny.
Destiny(sighs): (puppy dog eyes) Pleaaaassse??
Tonya(smiling): Sure.

Chris sat down on the couch as Tonnie and Destiny stood next to each other.

Tonya: Now put the heels of your feet together, this is called first position.

Destiny did as she was told. She watched Tonya closely.

Tonya: Now, put your arms out as if you were holding a big beach ball, but keep your shoulders relaxed and your back straight. Hold your center.

Destiny did it, and Tonya fix her back a little bit.

Tonya(smiling): Good, Dezzi. You’re doing beautifully.
Destiny just cheesed.

Tonya: Now, bend your knees making sure they go only over your ankles, or else you could hurt yourself. Then straighten. Then bend again, then straighten.

Destiny did it with a few times, and by the fourth time she was doing it just like Tonya.

Tonya(happy): Destiny, you just did a plie. You got it baby girl!
Destiny(excited): Daddy I did it!!

She ran over to Chris and jumped in his arms hugging him.

Chris(smiling): You did beautifully baby girl, you looked so pretty up there!
Tonya: She’s a really quick learner. She has a lot of potential.

Destiny: I’m gonna go upstairs and color!
Chris: Okay princess.

She ran upstairs.

Chris(smiling): Wow……….is there anything you can’t do.♥
Tonya(blushing): You’re sweet.

We got downstairs to the truck with me holding her hand helping her a little bit, and Destiny screamed….

Destiny(excited): Can you sit back here with me?
Chris: Dezzi I think she would want to sit in the front(gco)
Destiny(puppy dog eyes): Pleeeeeeeease……….
Tonya(smiling): Okay.
Destiny(jumping in the truck): YAAAAAAYYYYY!!!!!

Chris just rolled his eyes.

Tonya(smiling getting in the car): Are you a little jealous?

Chris closed the door biting his bottom lip smiling. He shook his head then got in the car.

They got to the house Tonya walked in with Destiny pulling her hand.

Tonya(looking around): Wow…………..your house is really beautiful……….
Chris: Thank you……
Destiny: I helped paint!
Chris: Yea, everything from the waist down…….
Destiny: So!

Tonya just laughed.

Chris: Tonnie I hope you like spaghetti.
Tonya: I’d love some.
Destiny: It’s my favorite!
Chris: Do you have something to say about everything?
Tonya(before Destiny could answer, smiling): Is that a problem?
Chris(eyes wide smiling): You supposed to be on my side!
Tonya: Sorry, but it’s us girls against the world.
Destiny(cheesing): Right!

They high fived.

Destiny: Besides, boys are yucky!

Chris picked her up and started tickling her.

Chris(as he’s tickling her): Oh, so now I’m yucky?!? Huh?!?!
Destiny(laughing almost peeing on herself): Nooooo……

Tonya just watched them.

They looked so happy, like such a happy family……….she wished she had that same joy in her life. She felt a little sad.

Chris(putting her down): Yea well……..promise me something Dezzi……..
Destiny(laughing): What?
Chris: You’ll always think boys are yucky.

I just laughed.

Destiny(giving him her pinky): I promise.

They locked pinkies, then she ran off into the tv room.

Tonya(smiling): You know she’s not always going to feel that way…….
Chris(smiling): I know, but I can always dream.

All of the sudden Destiny ran back like she forgot something.

Then she grabbed my hand and pulled me off with her.

Chris just smiled, then went into the kitchen.
