Sara’s Perspective

As I was waiting for Trey I made Michael his favorite brunch, asking him, to take us to New York, it was an opportunity I didn’t want him to miss, and I felt like my girl needed me. As I was washing the dishes, I got a text from Trey letting me know he was outside. I went to grab a hoodie and a jacket. I had been kind of quite since I got home from the hospital. Were relaxing in our room watching my favorite movie “low down dirty shame” the doctor put me on bed rest, until I give birth. The twins were very active. They were actually a week late. I wasn’t stressing it because I wanted them to be healthy, although it was wearing on me physically, and mentally. I began to get cravings, “Babe I’m hungry, can you get me some pizza with chicken, pineapples, oh and mushrooms and some ice cream, please?” “Sure!” he grabbed his sneakers and jacket. She flipped the channels taking a bite of her pizza, “Babe you love me right?” I nodded slowly not sure where she was going with this, “I mean you wouldn’t cheat on me would you?” I shook, “Never. I love you way too much for that. So, don’t you go worrying your pretty little heart!” she smiled. She took a scoop of her peach cobbler ice cream stuffing her mouth. I laughed as she giggled and blushed from embarrassment. A few second later she yelped in pain, “Baby what’s wrong?” I asked scared. She went to stand a gush of water fell from her legs. I began to panic I didn’t know what to do? “Go put the ice-cream in the freezer and then go start the car, I’ll meet you at the car with my bag and everything!” she shook her head handing me the food to put away, “Going into labor and still a fat kid!” she stuck her tongue at me pushing out the room. Her knees buckled as she grasped tightly onto the bed and yelled out in pain. I ran to her side in panic, I rubbed her back, “Baby breath!” I stated as calmly as I could. She began to breath in and out relaxing a bit, she stood to her feet, “Babe just go get the car!”

We rushed off to the hospital. They got her situated since she was only seven centimeters dilated. She had to be at least 10 to start pushing. I held her hand as she pushed through the pain. She was cussing and yelling how she hated me. About an hour later the doctor came and told her she could push. 20 minutes later my daughter cries rang throughout the room. Summer laid back for about five minutes before the next twin was ready. And about 10 minutes later my son brought into the world. I couldn’t do anything but smile as the doctor let me cut the umbilical cord. The nurse took them to get cleaned up. The doctor stood up walking over to Summer, ‘This may hurt a little!” he warned before he began to press down on her stomach. She winced a little in pain. Soon the nurse came in handing my daughter to me and our son over to Summer. They looked so peaceful as their eyes fluttered open seeing the world for the first time. “Hi princess I’m your father. I’m going to protect you and love you with everything I have. The world is yours. This is your mommy, my queen.” I smiled handing her over to Summer as we switched twins. “Our son, he looks just like you!” summer said “And our daughter is just as beautiful as her mother, I need to go register my guns now!” she giggled gazing down upon our daughter, she caressed her cheek smiling, “through all the pain, we created something so wonderful and amazing.” I leaned over kissing her softly. “I’m going to let you in on a secret, I’m glad we had a boy and girl, if we had identical twins, I was worried I couldn’t tell them apart, although parenthood scares me, now that it’s here.” She told me. “truth, I’m scared too!” I responded. “You seem so strong.” “Yes I’m happy to be a father, and I’m keeping it together in case you freak out, but, yes I’m scared.” She kissed me sweetly. “So what are we naming them?” “I was thinking Taylor Ava-Amaya Neverson and Tyler Avery Neverson?” “I love it!” I kissed her forehead as the nurse came to take them to the nursery. She moved over making space for me to lie next to her. I laid there running my fingers through her hair as she drifted off to sleep. She looked so relaxed as she got her well-deserved rest. A week later…
We had just got the twins down. We sighed in relief as plopped down on the bed. *hours later

About an hour later Tyler began to cry. Trey stretched turning to me, “Can you go get him?” as soon as he saw me he smiled reaching up while trying to stand. Trey took the twins out with Chris and Christina, she was adorable. Trey’s Perspective

Summer had just fallen asleep, when her mom walked in, “how is she?” “She’s doing good, now that she’s up!” “My grandkids?” “Their doing well, still as active as ever.” She nodded softly. “Can I talk to you outside for a moment?, As she’s taught me, not every closed eye is sleep, and I need to ask you something important?” “Okay?” she agreed as we walked out the room. “I want to ask your daughter to marry me. I wanted your approval and was wondering how I should go about it?” “Awe, that’s so sweet! As a child we had this butterfly exhibit, she always thought it would be nice to have the butterflies flying around as she was being purposed to. As she got older she became simpler, one day while you guys are watching television, and she’s in sweats, her hair tied watching either a football game, or her favorite movie!” her mother was the only person I could ask, I couldn’t ask her father’s approval, because he was shot when she was three. We walked back in and she was still sleeping peacefully. “Honey, go get some rest at home.
