Inside My Love.

<a href=>I</a> pulled up in front of the large building, adorned with dark LED lights. The parking lot was being swept by a young boy in Jordan's. He couldn't have been much older than me. I tightened the strap on my purse and walked towards the door apprehensively. It had come down to this. I didn't have another option. I knocked softly on the door at first... only for it not to be answered. The boy that was sweeping approached and hit the door loudly with his hand flat. I jumped, startled and looked at him. He tossed me a smirk and went back to sweeping. The door opened and <a href=>he</a> stood there, looking me up and down.

"...Who referred you?" He asked.

I put my hair behind my ear and parted my lips to say something but nothing came out. I shrugged. He studied me once more and looked me dead in the eye.

"Name?" He asked.

"Veronica... I go by Ronnie." I said softly.

He opened the door wider for me to come in, so I did. I hadn't ever been to one of these places, I'd only heard about them... saw them in movies. I looked around wondrously, and heard the giggles of females arriving and leaving, all of them carrying gym bags. I studied their curves and looked down at myself.

"What you here for..." He asked, dismissively. His eyes didn't dance in my direction, as he strolled casually beside me, checking out everything on the floor - making sure nothing was out of place.

He stopped suddenly and I did too.

"...I need a job," I said, searching his face.

He snickered. "So go to the mall and fill out applications, sweetheart. This isn't something for your resume,"

"I understand that," I said, shaking my head. "I wouldn't be here if I didn't need to be. I need a job," I said, pleading with my eyes.

He scratched his face, as he ruminated. He pointed to the bar. "You start there," He said, before he began to walk.

"I was hoping to dance!" I called after him.

He shook his head, "We'll see,"

I exhaled, and dropped my bag on the floor before the DJ put on some music. I looked around and sat down on one of the bar stools. Well... at least I had a job.

I love them

He walked out in the open with us, holding my hand. Cayden walked in front of us, pointing at everything she saw. There were cameras everywhere, but Aubrey didn't let go of my hand or even attempt to hide the fact that he was with me. People stopped him everywhere, wanting pictures and autographs and he obliged, every time. After sight seeing, we drove over to his mom's house. I got out of the car and swallowed. I hadn't met anyone's parents since I met Carter's mom...outside of my basketball game in the 9th grade. We walked up the steps and Aubrey knocked on the door. He kissed my forehead just as his mom opened the door, with her cane. She smiled widely and unlocked the door.

"Hello beautiful people!" She said.

Aubrey kissed her forehead repeatedly and hugged her. She pulled back and looked down at Cayden.

"Oh you must be Cayden! Look at her, she's almost as tall as me." She said, laughing.

"What can I call you?" Cayden asked, smiling.

"You can call me Sandi!" She said, a bright smile on her face. She looked up at me and smiled, "And you must be Veronica. It's so nice to finally meet you!" She said, hugging me.

She hugged me tighter than my mom had in a long time. I rubbed her back and smiled.

"It's really nice to meet you, Ms. Sandi." I said.

"Just call me Sandi!" She said, walking toward the living room. "Have a seat, have a seat! I'll go grab Doe. Doe!" She called.

Aubrey sat down on the couch and Cayden went and sat on his lap. He looked over at me and smiled.

"She's harmless, right?" He asked.

I nodded and smiled, "She's so cute." I said.

Sandi returned with her sister, Doe, coming behind her. Doe's mouth fell open.

"My God she's gorgeous!" Doe said, smiling at me. "Hi Veronica, I'm Aubrey's <em>proud</em> aunt! Where'd you find this supermodel?" She asked, reaching for a hug.

I stood up and hugged her, a small smile on my face. Aubrey looked at me and then at Doe.

"We just kind of ran into each other," He said.

Doe sat down on the couch next to his mother. Both of them studied the way that I handled Cayden like she was a fragile doll, and couldn't take my eyes off of her for very long. She sat on the floor, running her hands on the carpet. She looked at Sandi.

"Do you have any candy?" She asked.

Doe nodded and went into the dining room, bringing back a big bowl of chocolate. Cayden's eyes got big.

"Only 5, Cay." I warned her.

She smiled and picked them delicately from the bowl. Sandi and Doe made small talk with me, asking me little questions. Aubrey's hand rested on my thigh, and his phone was going crazy in his pocket, but he never once picked it up. He told me once that he'd mastered the art of ignoring people for long periods of time. When dinner was ready, Aubrey helped his mom to the table, and Doe came back with all of the food. The five of us sat and ate and I fell in love with Aubrey and Sandi's relationship. I could see why he treated me the way that he was exactly how he treated his mother. She went to get up and he stopped her.

"Where are you going? What do you need?" He asked, concerned.

"I just wanted to bring the photo album in for Ronnie," She said softly.

"I'll grab it babe," He said, standing up and going into the living room, getting the photo album. "This one?" He asked.

She nodded and smiled, pointing at the table. He brought it back and handed it to me. Sandi leaned across the table and pointed at pictures, explaining them to me. Aubrey sat on, watching the two of us.

"Oh what a little looker!" I said, shrieking and covering my mouth.

Baby pictures were my weakness. I'd fallen in love with baby Aubrey unconditionally. I took a picture of my <a href=>favorite</a> and set it as my wallpaper. He smirked. We stayed with his mom for a while, and enjoyed dessert before we left. In the car, on the way back, I smiled at Aubrey.

"I love your mom. I'm so glad I came." I said.

"I'm glad you did too.." He said softly, grabbing my hand and intertwining our fingers.

Aubrey and I shared dinner, while Cayden sat on the floor of the adjacent TV room, watching Tangled.

"You spoil us," I said softly.

"I'm supposed to," He nodded, grabbing another roll and tearing it apart. "Y'all are family."

I smiled and looked around for the 20th time.

"Are you comfortable here?" He asked.

I nodded, "Very. I could see why you'd wanna live here. The architecture's beautiful." I said.

After dinner, I got Cayden showered and ready for bed. I sat on the edge of the bed and smiled down at her.

"I'll see you in the morning," I said, kissing her forehead. "Don't stay up all night talking to October. That goes for you too, mister." I said, pointing at October.

He cuddled up next to Cayden and I kissed her cheek once more before I went to shut the door. I left it cracked and walked down the hall to where Aubrey was getting ready for bed. He was shirtless, in pajama pants, going through his nightstand for something. I went into the bathroom and changed into my shorts and an oversized shirt. I walked out into the room and sat down on my side of the bed, taking off my jewelry. I got beneath the covers and lied waiting for him to get under too. He did finally and turned towards me immediately, wrapping his arms around me. He kissed my forehead, nose, then lips. His hands wandered, gripping my ass. I smirked and kissed his lips once more, sliding my tongue in. He pushed my legs apart and lied down between them. I wrapped my legs around him. He pinned my arms up over my head and kissed me deeper, with more aggression. I ate that s*** up and began to push his pants down with my feet. I felt him growing in between my legs. He unpinned my arms and I gripped his shoulders, as he sucked on my neck. I moaned softly. He stopped and leaned over, grabbing a condom from the side table. He held it in his hands for a little while, before he flipped us over, where I was in the position to ride him. I watched him put the condom on, as I stood up in the bed and took off my shorts. I slid slowly onto him, exhaling. He bit his lip, holding my hips. I began to ride him slowly, my hands firmly on his chest.

"s***," He said softly.

I gripped my bare breasts and sped up, moving my hips back and forth. He grabbed my hips firmly and I began to bounce on him. I tried hard to contain my screams, so I bit my lip instead. He rolled us over and held my hands out to the side of us as he stroked in and out, kissing me. I arched my back slightly and my toes curled. I dug my nails into his back and we continued that way, for about 2 hours, before he came for the second time. He leaned down and kissed my lips. I tugged at his ear and smirked. He rolled over and lied on his stomach, looking over at me. I ran my fingers through his hair and turned over on my side. I looked him in the eye to see him ready to utter those three words. I leaned in and pecked his lips before he did.

"This was nice," He said, smiling.

"I'm sure it was," I said laughing a little and blushing. "But this...happens all of the time for you, right?"

He shook his head, "No. I mean if you're referring to the number of women I've slept with then..sorta but, it's never like this. You broke in the bed. You're the first woman I've had in it." He said.

"I'll take that honor," I said, smiling.

" don't want me to tell you that I love you, do you?" He said, searching my face.

"No because I don't wanna hurt your feelings when I don't say it back. It's not that I don't want to, or that I don't feel like I will," I said.

He nodded, "What are you waiting on? I've made it easy."

"Easy to what?" I asked.

"Fall in love with me," He responded, softly.

"What's the best way that I can put this? Imagine and I are mountain climbing, but we're on our way back down." I said.

He smiled a little, waiting to see where I was going.

"You've already made it to the bottom, with minor scrapes and bruises and you're waiting on me line broke in the middle and I'm stuck on this small little cliff, afraid to keep going. You have your arms out, saying that you're going to catch me. You promise me, reassure me that you'll catch me...but I'm afraid to jump. Could you see why I'd be apprehensive?" I asked, looking over at him.

"What if I went and bought a big inflatable, and like a million marshmallows and stood there...would you jump then?" He asked.

I nodded.

"Then imagine that I have. You can fall, Veronica." He said softly.

I walked out of the terminal, holding Cayden's hand, with my carryon draped over my shoulder. I smiled at the people we passed and went to baggage claim. Cayden looked around wondrously.

"Is this Canada?" She asked, looking up at me.

I nodded and smiled. "Yeah," I said, rubbing her head.

We grabbed our suitcases and walked out of the airport to find <a href=>him</a> standing near one of the waiting trucks. His face lit up and he bit his lip. I walked towards him, putting my hair behind my ear. Cayden waved at him and he smiled down at her.

"Hey Buttons." He said, before he looked at me and pecked my lips. "It's so good to see you," He said, looking me in the eye.

"Likewise," I responded cooly.

His driver took our bags from us and put them in the trunk. Aubrey opened the door for us and we slid into the backseat. Cayden sat between the two of us as we headed to some destination. We pulled up in front of his <a href=>home</a> and Cayden's eyes got big.

"Is this your house Aubrey?!" She asked.

He nodded and smiled, "Yah, come on. October's inside." He said, opening the door and getting out.

Cayden got out of the car, a big smile on her face. I went to the trunk and Aubrey shook his head.

"Babe he'll get the bags, c'mon." He said, dapping up his driver and walking with us to the door.

He unlocked the door and we all went inside. I took off my shoes and slid my hands into my jeans, looking around.

"Wow." I said, looking over at him. "All of this space for one person?"

He nodded and shut the door. "I'm not here a lot's nice to be alone sometimes. Especially in this business."

Cayden was greeted by October. She kneeled down and hugged him. I snapped a picture and smiled.

"Cayden I had a room made up for you," He said, walking off down the hall.

Cayden and I followed and he stopped in front of a <a href=>room</a>. Cayden walked in and hopped on the bed, a big smile on her face.

"Thanks Aubrey!" She said.

He walked in, his hands in his pockets, "There's a pillow right there for October. TV and remotes are over here. And I set up a canvas right here," He said, flicking on the light in a small room attached to the bedroom.

Cayden stood up and followed, nodding her head. She hugged his legs and he smiled and rubbed her head.

"Enjoy yourself," He said.

She ran back to the bed and hopped on it, followed by October. He walked towards me, "Wanna see our room?" He asked, smirking.

I smiled up at him and followed him down the hall, as he held my hand. We got to Aubrey's room and I walked in, lifting my arms up. I looked up.

"High ceilings," I said softly, as I walked to the window. "And this view," I said. "I could cry. Your house is perfect," I said, turning and looking at him.

He smiled and walked slowly towards me. "I hope you're okay with us sharing a room while you're here," He said softly.

I nodded, "I am." I pecked his lips and he slid his hands into my back pockets.

"What do you wanna do tonight? I'm sure you're tired from your flight," He said.

I nodded, "A little. Can we sight see tomorrow? I don't know when I'll get to see Canada again," I said.

"Soon if I can help it, but sure we can go out tomorrow. My mom wants us to come over for dinner tomorrow...and my aunt will be there." He said.

"I'm nervous." I said, exhaling.

"Don't be," He said, smiling. "They love you already."

"I should check on Cayden," I said.

"She's occupied." He responded. "Relax, change out of your flight clothes and meet me downstairs. Dinner will be ready soon,"

I smiled and nodded, "Okay." I said.

He pecked my lips and left the bedroom. I waited a few moments before I tiptoed down the hall anyway to check on Cayden. She was lying down on the bed, coloring and talking to October. I smiled and went to take a shower.

Run It!!!

thats one crazy secret! surprised deann has never caught on to nothin cuz they be actin awkward af around each otha..but hey all that went down before D but hopefully it doesnt come out RUN IT!

You know...I figured that something to that sort had played out between her and Jordan based of their reactions to each other at Ronnie's graduation....I wonder if Deann has picked up on that odd behavior...or the fact that when she "first introduced" them he called her Ronnie....hmm

Damn her boss is hott, but why'd he ask to see her, but didnt really want anything hmmm.
I knew she and Jordan had something, I thought they had cheated while he was with Deann, but turns out Ronnie knew him first. An they were basically "cuttie buddies". At was cray how when he was introduced by Deann to Ronnie that Ronnie caugh where he called her by her nickname and Deann didnt catch it, guess she was too caught up in the fineness too. But my question is why is Jordan such a d*** toward her now tho?
Wonder how her moms gonna feel about her going to Canada for Christmas?????
Loved the add. RUN IT!!!

awkwardddd . and deann had no idea ? i would've caught the ' Ronnie ' part ASAP .

I mean if D finds out she REALLY can't be mad (upset maybe that they kept it from her) but they met and done this before he and D even met

That's why she always acts weird around Jordan, I always wondered what that was about!!! Now I know. I hope Deann never finds out. I guess it makes sense now. I hope they can be on better terms for Deann's sake. Run it!!

Stacy nodded her head slowly. "Wow. That's pretty damn deep, girl. Will you ever tell D?" She asked.

I shook my head, "It's not that important, really. What happened between us, never really meant much to either of us. If it had, we would've at least discussed it by now. We've never even talked about it. It just kind of happened."

She nodded. We finished our food before it was time to go back to work. After I picked up Cayden, we went home and she looked at the gifts beneath the tree, like she did everyday.

"They're all here!" She said, smiling and standing up, walking towards me.

"Grandma's coming over tonight, since we won't be here for Christmas." I said softly.

"I wonder what she got me!" Cayden said, smiling and running into her room.

I plopped down on the couch, exhausted. What a day.

<em>I walked through the crowded bar and headed to get a drink. Monique and I went our separate ways once we got there. I wasn't friends with her...she was one of those weird mutual acquaintances. I sat at one of the stools and ordered a drink. A guy came up next to me and ordered a beer. He looked over at me and smiled.</em>

<em>"The nice girl from the library." He said. </em>

<em>"The lost guy from the library." I responded, laughing a little.</em>

<em>"I'm Jordan," He responded, holding out his hand. "I just enrolled in the graduate program here."</em>

<em>"Oh! So you're older," I said, nodding. "I'm Ronnie."</em>

<em>"Nice to meet you," He smiled.</em>

<em>I took a liking to his deep, raspy voice and as I downed one drink after another, I took a liking to his face as well. We were getting flirty, hands were everywhere and inhibitions were loosened. I hadn't done anything remotely sinful since I had Cayden. I leaned in.</em>

<em>"Let's not end the night here," I said.</em>

<em>He smiled a little and looked around, "Where to?" He asked.</em>

<em>"Your place," I responded.</em>

<em>"Let's go now," He responded.</em>

<em>I stood up and grabbed my wallet. I sent Monique a text on my way out, letting her know that I'd have a way home. When we got to Jordan's, I took off my shoes and looked around his place. There was a pair of headphones on the table, and a notebook. His satchel was draped over the chair. There were leather couches. He ran his hands up my shirt and kissed my neck.</em>

<em>"Beautiful place," I said softly.</em>

<em>He undid my bra and took my skirt off for me. I smiled and pecked his lips, as I unbuckled his belt and unzipped his pants, pulling them down. He picked me up and carried me firmly to his bedroom, where he lied me down on the bed and took off my underwear. He grabbed a condom from his nightstand and slid it on before he entered me. I was pretty tight, since I hadn't had any sex, so we had to work for a few minutes. He smiled down at me,</em>

<em>"Good girl?" He asked.</em>

<em>"Sort of," I responded. </em>

<em>I bit my lip and dug my nails into his back and he stroked rhythmically. I held onto his hips and moaned loudly. He got deeper with each stroke and was driving me crazy. When we were finished, he agreed to take me home. I figured that would be the last time that I'd see Jordan...until I did again, at the gym on campus.</em>

<em>When I saw him at the gym, he'd just finished playing basketball and was walking out with some guys. His lips parted but we didn't say anything. I pushed him back into the gym and we went into the bathroom. He locked the door and kissed me deeply, dropping his gym bag. He put me up on the sink and ripped my stockings off, tossing them across the room. We f***ed, right there on that sink.</em>

<em>Our affair went on this way for a few months before I ended it with him. I wasn't fond of casual sex...especially when I knew that he didn't want a relationship out of it. I simply didn't have time for it. Deann had been raving about this guy she'd met, a little while after we stopped messing around. He was having a show, and she invited me to go. He was a musician. When we got there, we were able to go backstage and meet him before he went on. We walked into the dressing room and Jordan turned around and looked me dead in the face. I turned bright red. Deann smiled and grabbed his hand.</em>

<em>"Jordan, this is my best friend Veronica. Veronica, this is Jordan." She said, smiling.</em>

<em>"Hey how you doin, Ronnie." He said, extending his hand.</em>

<em>I caught immediately that he'd called me Ronnie...despite the fact that he'd just been introduced to Veronica. I played it off and smiled, shaking his hand. It was electric. Deann was all over him before he went on to play. But I never said anything, and neither did he. We pretended like nothing had ever happened...</em>

We got to the lunch spot that <a href=>Stacy</a> suggested and sat down in a booth. I smiled before I looked up to see Jordan enter. He was carrying a newspaper and wearing a suit. He stopped when he saw me, but pretended that he didn't and proceeded to find a seat at the bar. I dropped my eyes to the table and then back at Stacy.

" know that man," She said.

"I used to," I responded.

She smiled a little, "Wanna tell me about him?"

I hadn't ever said anything about Jordan to anyone...and since Stacy was practically a stranger, I didn't mind.

<em>I finished up my paper, just as the clock hit 2:45. I shut my laptop and put it in my bag when <a href=>he</a> entered, carrying a gym bag, and looking around the library. I stood up and slung my bag over my shoulder.</em>

<em>"Excuse me...could you point me in the direction of the southeast gym?" He asked, searching my face.</em>

<em>"Oh, yeah, I'm headed in that direction now." I said, leaving the library with him trailing behind me. I stopped in front of it and smiled.</em>

<em>"Thank you." He said, smiling a little and entering.</em>

<em>I scurried over to pick up a whining, sleepy Cayden. I put on her coat and thanked her daycare teacher, before I put her on my hip and we went outside to catch the bus home. I looked down at her as we sat in the bus shelter, and stroked her cheek. She looked up at me. I sighed, seeing Carter all over her face. The bus arrived, so I got on with Cayden. When I got home, I made dinner while she sat in the living room, on the floor, playing with her toys and making loud noises. The phone rang so I pulled it off of the wall and began to boil the spaghetti noodles.</em>

<em>"I heard that Big Bar was gonna be fun tonight." I heard Deann say on the phone.</em>

<em>"Yeah, and? I have a daughter and I'm not 21." I responded.</em>

<em>"I was gonna say, that you should let me watch Cayden tonight and go out! You haven't gone out in like a year. Go have a drink, you know that they don't card." She said.</em>

<em>"And do what? Drink alone? That's weird. I don't want to." I said.</em>

<em>"I'll call Monique. She'll drive and you can have a good time for once." Deann said.</em>

<em>"I don't know, D. I've got some work to do." I responded.</em>

<em>"It's Thursday, so you have all weekend to get it done!" She said.</em>

<em>I sighed and shrugged, "A drink would be nice," I said, leaving the kitchen and looking at Cayden on the floor.</em>

<em>"I'll be there in 20. Get dressed!" She shrieked.</em>

<em>I hung up the phone and carried Cayden to my room, debating on what I should wear.</em>

I sat behind the desk at my internship, frustrated with a Excel, which seemed to be freezing every 5 minutes. I stood up and decided to go to the bathroom, to take a break. <a href=>I</a> was walking to the bathroom when the elevator opened and <a href=>he</a> walked off. He was on the phone. His eyes fell on me. He was walking with the woman that hired me.

"Who is that?" I heard him say.

"One of our junior interns," She responded.

I went into the bathroom, when I ran into one of the girls that I sit with in our little box of cubicles. She smiled over at me.

"Veronica, right?" She asked.

I nodded, "Stacy?" I asked.

"Yep, that's me." She said, smiling.

I remembered her as the girl who always smiled. She even offered to share her lunch with everyone...everyday.

"Did you wanna grab some lunch today? I know a spot around the corner. It's never too crowded so we could go during lunch hour," She said.

I nodded, "Yeah that sounds fun," I said, smiling.

I didn't have any friends...other than Deann. I walked out of the bathroom with Stacy and caught a glimpse of that man from earlier. He was looking around, talking to people and pointing at things. I sat down in my cubicle and found that Excel was back up. I smiled and continued to finish the spreadsheet I'd been working on. My boss came up next to me.

"Veronica, Mr. Holt would like to meet you." She said.

My eyes got big. What had I done? I needed this, to pay the bills. Holt & Company was the name of this b****! What could he possibly want with an intern? We walked down the hall to his big office and I followed her inside. There, behind the desk, was the man from the elevator.

"Thank you, Karen." He said.

My boss left the room and I jumped when she shut the door. He smiled, "You can sit. I'd rather you did, actually."

I walked forward and sat in one of the chairs.

"...It's a pleasure to finally meet you, Mr. Holt. Your company's doing great work," I said.

"Call me Calvin." He responded. "And you really think we do great work?" He asked, leaning back in his chair and smiling. "It's not boring to you? You're doing the most mundane assignments known to man. You plug numbers into a computer for a living. Don't you hate it?"

"I'd rather be here than sewing shirts 22 hours a day in India." I responded.

He smiled, "Indeed." He said, studying me.

"Is there anything that you need from me?" I asked.

"No, I just wanted to meet you. What's your name?" He asked.

"Veronica Moore." I said.

"Get back to work," He said, smiling a little.

I stood up and left his office...confused.

Kids always have the best judgements when it comes to meeting someone so for Cayden not to like Christina...she's no good!!!
