For his latest album, Chris Brown could have gone the crass route by explicitly describing what he wanted to do with a woman.
But he didn't.
"I wanted to do something more along the lines of a grown record," explains America's newest rising pop prince after peeling out of a V-neck T-shirt, slipping into a new pair of jeans and finally sitting down for what seems like the first tiem this day at a frenetically paced photo shoot. He alternatively talks, texts his friends and spins in his seat. It seems that Brown is ready to be nasty, but in a good-boy sort of way.

As Brown settled down to create his latest album, he used his own life as inspiration for songs like the chart-topping “Kiss Kiss.”

CHANNELING THE GREAT ONES
Brown’s handlers consider him a triple a threat who writes his own music, sings and dances. He plays well with others, including bigwig producers Scott Storch and will.i.am, who worked on Exclusive. He’s also been described as the next Michael Jackson, albeit one who drips diamonds from the face of his $14,000, handmade, Curtis & Co. watch.

BECOMING A TRIPLE THREAT
Chris Brown sings to himself. A lot. He’s never off-key.
He runs back and forth between the Winnebago and the side of the dam. Then after seeing his barber and other friends try to scale the nearly vertical wall of Sepulveda, he decides to do it himself. With a running start, he picks up speed from 50 feet away and scales it.
Actress Regina King saw some of that relentless energy on the set of This Christmas. She fell in love (in a platonic sort of way) with Brown during the filming, finding him polite and charismatic.

GROWN AND SEXY
Brown isn’t ashamed of his body, but he doesn’t normally take his shirt off. It’s kind of hard, he says, being a burgeoning sex symbol.
“That’s not me,” he says. “It’s cool, but I’m just growing into it now”
So is his mother. Ever the watchful one, Hawkins was a little perturbed at the words and the video for Take You Down.
